100 DIY Christmas Gift Ideas

100 DIY Christmas Gift Ideas

I’m sorry I’m posting this so late things have just been busy lately so I haven’t had much chance to do anything. I wanted to share a list of DIY gift ideas that anyone will be happy with. Most of them are so easy to do as a last minute gift too if you are starting to panic.

I always think a DIY gift shows a lot of thought. Obviously any gift is a thought but DIY gifts make you feel that bit more special that someone has took the time out of their day to create something thoughtful for you to enjoy.

I have tried to find things for everyone on this list hence why there are so many but it shouldn’t leave you lost on what to get.

1.Chocolate Slab
Starting off with something ‘sweet’. Making your own chocolate slabs at home is easy and much cheaper. Chocolate slabs are great for stockings or Christmas Eve boxes.

To Make: Melt 200g of chocolate & spread it out in a small to medium-sized foil tray. Top it with different chocolates and sweets and set it in the fridge for a few hours. Wrap it up in cellophane & add a little bow ready for gifting. You can learn some extra tips and flavour ideas from Tastefully Vikkie.

2.Tarot Card Candle
Tarot reading has started becoming more popular through TikTok. These candles can be a meaningful gift or stocking filler to someone who is spiritual.

To Make: If you are using a candle-making kit, the best option is to follow their instructions but if you want to use a batch of candle making products, then this guide from Proflowers will show you how

As for the jar, you can decorate it how you want, these stickers are gorgeous and to package it, you can tie a gift tag/mini Christmas card around it with a reading written inside (if you are a reader yourself) or put a gift tag and ribbon around it.

3.Chocolate Truffles
A ‘sweet’ gift idea for your sweetheart is a box of luxury handmade chocolate truffles. These will be much appreciated, especially if there are flavours in there which you can’t get from the shops but you can get recipes online for.

To Make: This depends on the truffle recipes you are choosing but here is a video by Katie Lee Wilken which shows you how to make your own chocolate truffles and how to box them up for gifting.

4.Mulled Wine Kit
Mulled wine is the perfect festive tipple that reminds me of Christmas markets. This kit is great for families or couples who can make it together.

To Make: All you need to do is fill a basket with red wine (Merlot is recommended for mulled wine), a Christmas mug, a mulled wine spice kit, some cinnamon sticks which look cuter out of the container with ribbon tied round them and a handwritten instruction card. To package this, you can use cellophane and ribbon like you would for a normal hamper.

This guide by Alyssa Ponticello shows you other ways which you can make up a mulled wine kit.

5.Bracelet Making Kit
Rather than gifting a piece of jewellery, a jewellery making kit might be a fun little stocking filler idea. Especially with the Y2K trend that is currently going round.

To Make: All you need to do is fill a mesh bag with some beads and a roll of elastic string. To package it you can wrap ribbon around it with a gift tag.

6.Hot Drink Gift Basket
There is nothing better than sitting down with a hot drink after a long, hard day at work or being out in the cold weather. This gift basket is a bit of a different gift but it will definitely be one that’s used.

To Make: It depends on what drink you use but there are plenty of options you can go with. The one pictured is what I have done for Christmas. I wanted to create a hamper where the couple who are receiving it can make up their own Costa style coffees.

7.Hot Chocolate Bombs
With hot chocolate bombs being the new way of making a hot chocolate. These will make a perfect little stocking filler. You can make them plain, flavoured, alcoholic or decorated into Christmassy characters.

To Make: Create your shell with melted chocolate and a pastry brush. Once set, add 1tsp of hot chocolate powder and mini marshmallows (1 shot of alcohol too if you are making alcoholic ones). Form your hot chocolate bombs, let them set and decorate them. A cute way to package them is in cupcake domes with ribbon and a gift tag. You can find more tips on how to make hot chocolate bombs from

8.Board Game
Board games seem to have become a Christmas tradition for many families over the last few years. There wouldn’t be a more fun way than playing your own board game as a family over the Christmas period.

To Make: You can either start off with a board game making kit which you can buy here. Or you could use different things. For the game’s box, I would suggest a gift box which you can paint and draw on. For the board, you could either use laminated paper/card, laminated paper/card stuck to either cardboard or cork tiles or scrap wood. For your game pieces, you can use other game pieces, small toys or wooden cubes. Finally, for your instruction card or any other extra cards you can handwrite them. You can find more tips on how to make your own board game from WikiHow

9.Lush-Inspired Gift Set
Lush gift sets are nice gifts to buy for people but they can be expensive and in my experience of shopping at Lush, I don’t like going in because of all the hassling from staff. If you are like me and want to get away from all of this, you can make your own bath bomb gift sets at home.

To Make: To do this, you can fill a gift box with individual bath bombs and other beauty products like lip scrubs (Barry M do a good dupe of the Lush lip scrubs) you can wrap the products up in tissue paper and wrap a gift box in wrapping paper and ribbon for its packaging.

The Lush website also gives you a guide how to build up your own bath bomb gift sets.

Bath salts don’t get as much credit as they deserve, they are good for relaxation, soothing muscles and more. They would be a handy gift idea for anyone with a hard-working job.

To Make: Firstly, you will need a jar, this one from Matalan comes with a spoon. Next, you add Epsom Saltcoarse sea salt, essential oils and either dried flower buds/petals or dried fruit slices. Stick a piece of clear tape over each label. Cut it out and soak it in warm water. Rub the paper backing off & leave it to dry. Once dry, your tape should become sticky again so you can stick it to your jar. Alternatively, you can follow Love Happy Alison guide to making your own labels.

Fun-flavoured milkshakes are becoming increasingly popular. This kit is a bit of a different gift idea but it’s a good one for milkshake lovers.

15.Work Survival Kit
Work survival kits are perfect little stocking fillers for workaholics. They are so easy to make and most of the items can be found around the house for free.

To Make: I will link the kit I found online so you get some idea of what goes in it but you can add extra things that may be useful, especially if it becomes tailored to a certain profession but this way, you will have to think of some reason behind it like the other things in the bag.

16.Naked Lady Candle
Naked lady candles are known for their messages of body positivity. They are quite expensive to buy but these candle making kits from B&M at only £8 make it easier and cheaper.

17.Wooden Wick Candle
Another type of candle which makes the perfect gift is a wooden wick candle. Wooden wick candles contain less soot when burnt and they make a crackling sound when lit as if you are sat around a log fire.

As a kid, my dolls house meant the world to me. This would be more of a project rather than a last minute gift but it will be a gift that will last your little ones a lifetime!  Trust me. They might not always play with it but they will remember that dolls house for the rest of their lives.

To Make: Firstly, you need to draw out your plan. Then you need to get your wood, measure it and cut it to shape. The next step is to build all your little details such as windows and doors. Once all this is done, it’s a case of putting it together. Once all that is done you can move onto decorating the inside.

One place to buy bits for the inside is Dolls House Emporium.

To Make: You can be creative with this and do it however you want. One idea which I like is to use a plain black-covered notebook, this way you can draw on the front with paint markers
Page Layout: One idea which I would go with is to be laid out like the Paperchase one. This has categorised lists with a few pages to write ideas on and in between each section is a page to write down one idea, how you are going to achieve it and what are your next steps to achieving it.

You can also follow this guide by Join Cake on how to make your own bucket list journals.

20.Wire Birthstone Ring
The trend of birthstone jewellery started with Pandora, birthstone rings in particular. As stunning as these rings are they are expensive for a lot of people. A handmade wire birthstone ring may be a bit more sentimental to someone and will be cheaper to make.

To Make: As I don’t really know how to explain the process, this guide by ‘Kernow Craft’ may be a bit more helpful.

21.Sharpie Mug
A lot of mugs are typically cheap to buy but you can make these Sharpie mugs more personal to someone. Once you’ve finished personalising it, you can either fill it with hot chocolate mix and marshmallows, teabags or cappuccino sachets, chocolate dust, a stencil and a milk-frothing whisk.

To Make: Print out a stencil/silhouette which you like for your mug. Wipe down your mug with either surgical spirit or an isopropyl—alcohol based hand sanitizer. Cut out your stencil and place it where you want it. Flip it over and start pencilling your stencil, make sure to press hard so the pencil lines appears on your mug. Tape the stencil onto the mug and start tracing it. Remove the stencil, making sure it has transferred. With your Sharpie, make sure this is an oil-based one, trace over the pencilled design and clean up any edges to make it look cleaner. Bake it in the oven faced upside down for 30mins.

Once the wax becomes cloudy, you can start adding decorations like fake flowers and whole spices. Give them time to set and pull them away from the mould. Finally add string or twine through your tablet so it can be hung. Alternatively, you can follow Country Hill Cottage guide to making your own wax tablets.

37.Puppy/Kitten Starter Kit
A puppy/kitten starter kit is a good gift for anyone who has recently got a new puppy or kitten. A kit like this will be a helpful gift for someone and can save them some money on buying new pet things.

These teddies are a lovely gift idea for anyone who loves this sort of thing, they can be very expensive to buy but you can make them at home.

To Make: For this, you can either use an old toy or buy one from a charity shop, Then you will need to rip out of some stuffing to make room for the microwave pack. To make the microwave pack, you can fill an odd sock with dried rice and dried lavender buds if you want to make it scented. You then need to stitch up the top of the sock and put it in the teddy. You will need to put some of the old stuffing back in to puff it back out. The final step is to re-stitch the back of the bear and it’s ready to be gifted. Or you can follow this guide by Third Stop On The Right on how to make your own microwave teddy bear.

Milk baths are good for soothing skin conditions like Eczema. Milk baths are also good for babies with skin conditions. Milk baths also look very pretty!

Or you can follow this guide by Soap Deli News.

48.Gin & Lemonade/Tonic Set
Gin is loved by many of us but the real debate is does it go better with lemonade or tonic water? This gift will be loved by anyone who likes their gins.

To Make: This gift is really simple, all you need is some kind of basket or gift box. You will need a bottle of gin whether it be flavoured or normal, either a pack of Schweppes tonic water or lemonade and a gin glass. You can buy plenty of gin glasses on Etsy if you want a more personalised touch or you can buy normal ones from many different shops, Asda have recently had an offer on where I got one for £3.50 so it may be worth checking your local George Home section at Asda.

49.Decorated Reed Diffuser.
Reed diffusers have always been nice gifts for people but can sometimes be a little bit plain. If you wanted to jazz one up a bit, you could decorate it. One idea I have for any glamorous people in your life is to decorate it with a diamantΓ© initial and ribbon.

To Make: All you would need to do is buy a plain Reed diffuser and some bits to decorate it. To go through with my idea you could buy some black velvet or satin ribbon to tie around the top and then you can buy some stick on gems and create somebody’s initial from them. Or you can buy letter stickers which are already made of sticky gems.

50.Beach Bag Gift
Since it’s been so cold outside, it’s only right to bring some sunshine to the list. This beach bag gift would be much appreciated by holiday makers, either those who go away at Christmas or who go away all the time.

To Make: fill up a beach bag with beach essentials like a pair of sunglasses, beach towels, sun cream etc… a gift like this could save someone a lot of money by not having to buy all the last minute essentials and will stop them struggling to find them around this time of year.

51.Flavoured Sauces/Oils
Flavoured sauces and oils tend to cost so much and you can only buy them in specialist shops. They are really easy to make yourself and make lovely gifts for people, especially those who enjoy cooking.

To Make: Firstly, you will need to put your infusion into your oil bottle, this can be something like herbs, garlic or chillis. Then, fill the rest of the bottle up with oil, the best type to use is olive oil. Make sure your infusion is covered completely. Put the lid on and shake it up. This guide by Mountain Rose Herbs will give you some extra tips, although it says leave it for 2-3 weeks you don’t have to & you can leave the infusion in the bottle.

52.Crystal Candles/Reed Diffusers
Crystal candles and reed diffusers are really good for those who rely on healing crystals but for those who don’t believe that they work, they look so pretty so they will make lovely stocking fillers for anyone.

To Make:
Candles: The candle making process for these candles is exactly the same, the only difference is adding the crystals into it once the wax has slightly set, this guide by Garden Therapy gives you a more detailed explanation and is an alternative guide which you can follow.

Reed Diffuser: The best way to do this is to use an old Reed diffuser bottle and create your own essential oil blend to go inside it. The final part is just adding a few crystals into the bottom of the diffuser.

53.Crystal Water Bottle
You are definitely lying if you say these aren’t the prettiest looking water bottles you have ever seen! they are so expensive though. They will make gorgeous stocking fillers for anyone, especially those who like their healing crystals.

To Make: Although these bottles from shops have a special part at the bottom where you can change the crystals over, making your own doesn’t have to be that complicated. This post by Organic Authority state that it’s as simple as putting crystals into the bottom of your water bottle.

57.Chocolate & Coffee Flavoured Hazelnuts
I got the idea of these from a pack sold by Cocoba chocolate and thought they would make a lovely gift. These would be a perfect little stocking filler gift for someone.

To Make: Firstly, you would need a jar or something nice to pot them in. Then you need to coat your hazelnuts in melted chocolate. Once this is done you can coat them in finely ground coffee, some instant coffees would be great but others may need grinding a bit more. This can easily be done with a rolling pin and ziplock bag. Once set, they can be put into your jar.

58.Car Care Gift Basket
This car care gift basket will be perfect for the man in your life who’s car is their pride and joy. It would also be nice for someone who has just recently passed their driving test.

1 x gifting pack of Demon Chill Valeting Set or
1 x De-Icer
1 x pair of Driving Gloves

59.Couple’s Card Game
A couple’s card game would be a fun idea for someone. You can theme it off games like Servd or the popular TV gameshow Mr & Mrs. The best way to make it would be the same way as the other card games.

60.I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker Trial Game
You can actually buy a game very similar to this in B&M that is based on the I’m A Celeb eating trials. This is such a fun game to play at Christmas.

To Make: Firstly, you will need to decide on the things you will eat, you could do it with a combination of nice and horrible things. For your nice things, sweet things would be the best options. For the horrible ones, the Jelly Bean Challenge would be fun as a bit of a roulette style trial. Dried ‘edible’ bugs can be bought from B&M as an optiondried chillis would also be fun as a hot and spicy trial and something to do with marmite would be fun since everyone is either a lover or hater. For other pieces, you would need a spinner and you could also give people stars if they eat something to make it more like a bushtucker trial.

61.Career-Themed Gift Basket
A career-themed gift basket is something a bit different. I think someone who has either just bagged their dream job or who has just graduated university would appreciate this.

To Make: This could really include anything depending on what job someone is going into. An example could be an interior designer. For their basket you could include things like…
1 x Sketchbook (For their ideas)
1 x Personalised Pen (To write down their ideas)
1 x pack of Nice Colouring Pencils (WHSmith own pencils are really good, I’ve used them since school)
1 x Something for their own home (Zara Home & H&M Home have some of the nicest things)

62.Pinterest Recipe Book/Cocktail Recipe Book
I’m sure we have all used Pinterest before and found some amazing recipes we want to try out. Imagine having all of your Pinterest recipes together in one book. It can also be done as a cocktail recipe book with Pinterest recipes or your own crazy cocktail ideas.

To Make: This can be done with either a notebook, a ring binder file like the one pictured or paper, a laminator, hole punch and treasury tags. You can be as creative as you want with it. I recommend looking through either yours or someone else’s Pinterest boards and putting some recipes together, this can be the same with cocktails or you can make your own crazy concoctions.

63.Savings Jar
Personalised savings jars are perfect for anyone who needs to save up for anything like a holiday, wedding or honeymoon.

To Make: These are so simple to make, all you need is a jar with a lid that can easily be cut with a craft or Stanley knife. Once you have your jar, you can start decorating it with paint markers, twine and decorations. All that’s then left to do is to cut a money slot in the lid. If it has rough edges, you can sand them down with a bit of sandpaper.

64.Snowglobe Gin Bottle Light/Disney Bottle Light
These bottle lights are lovely Christmassy gifts for people. They will be much appreciated by many.

To Make: To make the snowglobe gin bottle light, all you will need is an empty M&S Snowglobe Gin bottle and some white battery-powered Christmas tree lights. Of course, the M&S bottles light up but I found that mine looks prettier with lights in. To make a Disney themed bottle light, you will need an empty glass bottle which you can decorate into a Disney theme, you can find many different ideas on Pinterest. You will also need some battery-powered Christmas tree lights.

65.Multi-Tool/Self-Defence Keychain
These keyrings will make the perfect stocking fillers for both men and women. For men, a multi-tool keyring will come in handy if they need to do anything. For women, a keychain like this is a life saver. You have to be careful with these as some of the items can be illegal in the UK. I will link some below that aren’t but there are probably ways to get around it.

To Make: First of all what you will need is a big keyring which can fit all of these things on it. For the Multi-Tool keyring, things you can include are…
1 x Torch

For a self-defence keyring, you can use…
1 x Rape Alarm (Linked above in the Work Survival Kit)
1 x Bottle Opener
1 x Whistle

Or you can follow this guide by A Safety Wish on what to include on a self-defence keychain.

66.Exotic Fruit/Plant Growing Kit
An exotic plant or fruit growing kit would be a different gift but one loved by plant lovers. Just make sure it’s legal of course!

To Make: The best way to do this is find a gift box which can fit everything in. Next you will need to decide on your plant, what to grow and how to grow it. You can buy the seeds/bulbs from Amazon. Once you have it all figured out, you can buy the particular soil needed to grow it, a plant pot and anything else you may need. A handwritten instruction card would also be helpful so they know how to grow their plant.

67.Arts & Crafts Gift Basket
An arts and crafts basket depends on what type of arts and crafts someone does. This would be a lovely gift though and give someone something to do. The best places to buy craft things from are The Works and Hobbycraft.

68.Anxiety Relief Gift Basket
This gift basket is a bit of a different one but it can really help someone who is suffering badly with their anxiety. Some of the gifts in here may help them calm themselves down and to be able to relax their minds for a bit.

To Make: This basket can include things like…

1 x Anxiety Ring (Honestly I couldn’t recommend this enough, the one linked is mine but you can get different styles on Amazon)
1 or 2 x Vex King Books
1 x Anxiety Relief Essential Oil Roll On (TK Maxx)
1 x Stress Toy (There are more but I just loved this one)

69.Wax Burner & Disney-Inspired Wax Melts
Wax burners and wax melts are popular in households. A fun idea would be to theme the wax melts on Disney films. If you can find themed wax burners too that would also be good.

To Make: First of all, you need to find your burner, then you need to think of some Disney/character themed scents. There are different ways to make your own wax melts, you can either melt wax in a pan and use wax crayons to dye it and essential oils to scent it. Another way you can do it do it is by using broken candles or candles without jars as these will melt down easily. A way of shaping your wax melts would be to use fancy ice cube trays. Some which I came up with are…
Cinderella- Pumpkin
Beauty & The Beast- Rose
Snow White- Apple
Lilo & Stitch- Hawaiian
(Pineapple or Hibiscus)
Shrek- Gingerbread
(Not Disney but it would still be a fun one to do)

If my guides don’t make sense, You can learn from Our Oily House how to make your own wax melts.

70.Family Key Holder
These key holders are the perfect little family gift. I love that on the picture, they have also included a paw print for somewhere to hang the dog’s lead.

To Make: First of all, you will need some wood similar to the picture, you may need the help of a woodworker here. Next you will need to nail some hooks onto it. Once that’s done, you can start designing your key holder, you can either varnish or paint your key holder & once it’s dried you can write your names on it with a white paint marker, you can use stencils for this also if you want to. Finally, you will need to attach some string or a picture hook to the back so it’s able to hang. You could attach the string with staples as this might be stronger.

71.Card Game
I’ve already mentioned a couple of card game ideas but a few more which I have come up with for game ideas are a ‘Cards Against Friendships’ style game instead of ‘Cards Against Humanity’ this could involve personal experiences in your friendship group or something creative like that, look at ‘For The Girls’ for a friendship based game. You could also do some kind of Meme game if you wanted to, like ‘What Do You Meme?’, A tattoo Pictionary style game would be fun too similar to ‘Ink’d’ and a general pub quiz game would also be fun.

72.Themed/Handmade Tarot Deck
Since I mentioned tarot earlier, making your own tarot deck would be a lot of fun as you can be creative and make up your own meanings. I think this would be a lovely gift for someone who is just learning to understand tarot.

To Make: First of all, you would need to write down your ideas, this involves the imagery, symbology and the meanings that you get from it. You can either do this through Pinterest or draw your own ideas. This is also where you can decide if you want a theme like the one pictured, this is the Disney Villain tarot deck. You could expand that and create a general Disney one as a theme if you wanted to. Once all this is done, you need to figure out how you will do this. You can either create a box net for a card box and use blank flashcards or you can buy a pack of playing cards and paint both the box and each card white to start a fresh (playing cards only have 52 cards, so you would probably have to buy 2 packs to make it up to the 78 what a tarot deck has) You will also have to write out or type up a card meaning booklet to go with it. Once all of this has been sorted you can start designing your deck.

Here is a helpful guide by Practical Magic that teaches you how to make your own tarot deck from scratch.

73.Flower Reed Diffuser
I originally got this idea from the Cocod’or flower reed diffusers pictured, these smell absolutely amazing and last ages but they are expensive. DIY versions will make absolutely gorgeous gifts.

To Make: Firstly, you will either need a reed diffuser, they are cheap enough from Poundland and Primark or  you can use an empty diffuser bottle and add your own essential oil blend to it. Once all that is sorted, it’s as simple as attaching reed sticks and artificial flowers to the bottle ready for gifting.

74.Custom Eyeshadow Palette
Custom eyeshadow palettes are another way to gift makeup but without buying loads and putting it into a make up bag like I suggested earlier. You will probably need specific palettes and eyeshadows though for this to work.

To Make: First of all, you would need to buy the palette itself. Then you can start buying the eyeshadows to put in it. Once that’s sorted, all you need to do is attach the eyeshadows into the palette and then gift it to someone.

75.Cosy Gift Set
I first got the idea of these cosy gift sets from the Joules website. They are super cute gift sets which many people would love but you can definitely recreate your own for a lot cheaper. This would also make a cute secret Santa gift.

To Make: For this you will need, a hot water bottle, fluffy socks (Primark), an eye mask (TK Maxx) and some ribbon to attach it all together.

76.Pinterest-Inspired Coffee Table Book
Coffee table books are huge trends in homeware but the proper fashion designer ones can be so expensive. It would be better to make your own and use your own Pinterest images.

To Make: Although other ways to make books have already been mentioned, I think the best option for this one is to buy a thick hardback book from a charity shop and cover it with different images, fabrics, textures or paint and drawings. For the images inside, you can easily print out your favourite pictures from Pinterest/Instagram and stick them over the book pages. This guide by CEWE may also be helpful in giving you some tips on making your own coffee table books.

77.French Macarons
A box of French macarons is a bit of a different gift for someone which is just a little something. There are many different recipes available online to follow on making French macarons.

To Make: This depends on the different recipes but the main things which you will need are icing sugar, almond flour, eggscream of Tartar, white granulated sugar, food colouring and flavourings. For boxing up, you can follow the same tutorial which I linked for the chocolate truffles. You can learn how to make your own French macarons from Sally’s Baking Addiction.

78.Meal Kit
A meal kit is a good gift idea to do for someone as a date night in type of gift or for someone who may be genuinely struggling at the minute and may appreciate a meal already prepared for them that they don’t have to buy. This can be done with all sorts of things, nachos, pizza, pasta and fajitas.

To Make: It depends what meal kit you decide to do as to what you need to add into it. You can be creative with it and have a think of the things you may need to put into the meal kit.

79.Shot Gift
When we go on nights out, we all love a cheeky shot or 10 don’t we? This would be a nice little stocking filler gift but also handy for something to drink on Christmas Day.

To Make: This gift can be done in different ways, it can be done as a miniature bottle of alcohol in a clear bauble as a tree present, if a shot glass would fit in there too then that would also be good or you can do it as boxed gift with a pack of shot glasses, full-sized bottle of alcohol and any extras you might need for specific shots. A lot of alcohol miniatures can be bought in supermarkets but some you may have to buy online.

80.Favourite Biscuit Selection
Some people prefer biscuits over chocolate, tins of biscuits are also easy gift ideas for people who you just want to get a token for. You usually find that they don’t have many that everybody likes in them but if you did your own, you could tailor it to somebody’s favourite biscuits.

To Make: First of all you will need a biscuit tin, you can either use an old one which you might have saved from previous years or you may have to buy another one and empty the biscuits into something else so you can use that tin. Then you will need to buy a few of somebody’s favourite different types of biscuits and put them into it. You can treat it like a biscuit selection box.

81.Fortune Cookies
If you know of someone who loves Chinese food, making your own fortune cookies with your own handwritten fortunes inside maybe a lovely gift idea for them.

To Make: First of all, you will need to line a baking tray with grease proof paper. Then you will need to mix all of your ingredients together and bake 2 cookies at a time. The complicated part is making them into fortune cookies, this detailed guide by Lil’ Luna talks about it in more detail on how to do it right.

82.Gin Garden
A gin garden is a perfect way of growing your own botanicals to infuse or top your gin with. This would be a perfect gift for a gin lover on your list.

To Make: Firstly, you will need some kind of crate or container to put it all in. Then you will need to search for the best herbs and botanicals which can be grown in your garden for gin and collect some seeds for it. The last steps include making sure there is enough soil to do it all and enough plant pots for each one.

83.Sweetie Jars/Malteaser Reindeer Cones
Sweetie jars are great for those who prefer sweets over chocolate. You can fill these with anything and they will make a lovely stocking filler. As for the Malteaser reindeer cones these will make a very cute stocking filler also for anyone but mostly for children.

To Make: To make a sweetie jar all you will need is a jar and a bag of sweets to empty into it. You can then decorate it with string and a gift tag. Sweetie jars are a nicer way of gifting sweets than in their original packaging. To make Malteaser reindeer cones, you will need a plastic bag which you can make into a cone shape. You can then fill it with Malteasers and decorate the outside with pipe cleaners, pom poms and googly eyes to make it into a reindeer.

84.Hot Chocolate Spoons
Hot chocolate spoons are another way of making hot chocolate that isn’t a hot chocolate bomb. These will make really nice stocking filler gifts.

To Make: First of all, you will need some spoons either plastic or wooden spoons. You will then need to melt some chocolate chips in a bowl. Dip your spoons into the chocolate and decorate them. You can then leave them to set.

85.Personalised Gin Glass & Gin
Another gift idea for the gin lovers is a personalised gin glass and a bottle of gin. This will be such a lovely gift for someone.

To Make: You can do the glass one of 2 ways, you can either personalise it yourself but this may include needing a Cricut machine or you can buy some very cute personalised gin glasses from Etsy. Then all you will need is a bottle of their favourite gin.

86.Uni Student Basket
This basket will be a perfect gift for a uni student who lives in Uni accommodation most of the year. This basket will be the ultimate survival kit for any student.

To Make: Things you could include in this basket are…
1 x pack of Toaster Bags
1 x pack of Pens/Highlighters
1 x pack of Ear Plugs
2 or 3 x Easy Student Meals (Pot Noodles, Super Noodles, Soup etc…)
1 x Dry Shampoo
1 x pack Hair Bobbles/Clips (Primark)
1 x pack of Plasters
1 x Lemsip Max
1 x box of Paracetamol/Ibuprofen
1 x box of Liver Salts
1 x box of Strepsils
1 x pack of Sticky Notes
1 x Travel Mug (TK Maxx)
1 x Toothpaste
1 x LapDesk (Linked above in the career-themed gift basket)

87.Hat, Scarf & Gloves Set
Although you can buy hat, scarf and gloves sets I think making your own up will not only save you some money but you may also get a nicer set together if you look around the shops. These will make a lovely and easy gift for anyone, especially with all the cold weather we’ve been having lately.

To Make: To make this, all you need to do is buy a matching hat, scarf and gloves. You could probably buy them from Primark or around different stores but you would have to be careful to match the colours up correctly. To package it, you could wrap it all in some nice ribbon.

88.Aldi Pamper Basket
Some people think Aldi is a bit of a cheapskate shop but I personally couldn’t fault it for its dupes. Especially in their beauty range! An Aldi pamper basket would be lovely pamper gift but also a cheaper option.

To Make: Things which you can include in this basket are…
Ballycastle Hot Chocolate Melts
(May still be available in stores as part of their Specialbuys)

89.Surprise Bath Bomb
Surprise bath bombs are bath bombs which have something inside them which gets revealed when it fizzes. I’ve seen all sorts of different things in these, from rings to toys (both children’s and adult toys). Something like this would be a really fun little stocking filler.

To Make: First of all, mix all your dry ingredients together in a bowl. Then melt your coconut oil while stirring and add essential oils, slowly pouring it into your dry mix while still stirring. You may need some spritzes of Witch Hazel to make it clump together. This is where you pack it into your mould, once one half is full you can add your surprise on the top, you can either put it straight in or you can wrap it in a piece of foil. Overfill the mould slightly and then fill the other half the same way. Once done, you can push it together and leave it to sit for 10 minutes before removing. Once done, you need to leave them to dry for 24 hours. This guide by My Humble Home & Garden has a more detailed explanation on what to do and some extra tips.

90.Infused Gin/Vodka
Flavoured gin and vodka is everywhere but it can be very expensive to buy and sometimes quite hard to find specific flavours. Infused gin/vodka would make a really nice gift for someone who either likes a specific flavour of gin/vodka that is hard to get or who has a minibar in their home.

To Make: To do this, you will need to pick out the gin you are infusing and what you’re infusing it with. The best way to infuse it is in a jar but you can do it in a bottle as well. BBC Good Food has a guide teaching you how to do it and also includes some flavour ideas. This process can take up to a few weeks so it may not be the best last minute gift idea.

91.Marmite Gift Basket
One of the most British debates is whether you are a lover or a hater of Marmite. Me personally, I am a hater but I think every family has that one weirdo that loves it. This gift basket is the perfect gift for them. There is a huge range of Marmite flavoured ‘goodies’ available in supermarkets.

To Make: Things that can be included in this basket are…
1 x jar of Marmite
1 x pack of Marmite Rice Cakes
1 x bag of Marmite Cashews
1 x 6 pack of Marmite Walker’s Crisps
1 x jar of Marmite Peanut Butter
1 x pack of Marmite Cheddar Bites
1 x pack of Marmite Flatbreads
1 x Marmite Graze Mix

92.Merino Wool Blanket
These chunky knitted blankets have been everywhere for the last couple of years, they are so cosy and nice but they are so expensive. This would be the perfect gift for anyone who likes to be cosy.

To Make: These blankets are surprisingly easy to make as they are completely handmade and don’t require stitching or knitting just a particular technique. You just need a lot of Merino Wool.

93.Percy Pig Basket
This is the perfect gift for any Percy Pig lovers out there. If they are just as obsessed as me they will love it!

To Make: I will link the M&S page where you can buy all things Percy Pig from here.

94.Photo Album/Scrapbook
A photo album or scrapbook is of course a very personal gift. This will be lovely for your other half or a family member/friend.

To Make: This is of course your own choice on how to make it. You can get supplies for scrapbooks at The Range and The Works.

95.Photo Calendar
Another personalised photo gift idea could be a photo calendar. This is a perfect gift for someone who has a newborn so you can use a picture of them for each month. There are a lot of websites who sell photo calendars but Photobox tends to be the cheapest option.

96.Disney Poundland Bag Cushion
Everybody has become obsessed with these gorgeous Disney shopping bags from Poundland. A lot of people tend to use them for DIY’s like cushions. These are perfect for anyone who loves Disney, especially if some of the bags have their favourite characters on.

To Make: These cushions will be quite easy to make if you are good at sewing. I think the easiest way to do it is cut the handles off and put a cushion insert on the inside of the bag. Then all you need to do is sew it. You are better putting a zip on these so you can take them off and each them. Alternatively, you can follow this guide by Strike A Pose on how to make your own Disney bag cushions.

97.Personalised Starbucks Cup
This cup would be the perfect gift for the Starbucks lover on your list. You can either buy these or make your own at home.

To Make: You can make your own cups at home but it is a bit awkward as you need a Cricut machine. It will come in handy if you either have one or know someone who does. This guide by Jennifer Maker shows you how to make your own personalised Starbucks cups with a Cricut.

98.Netflix Series Themed Basket
With Netflix taking over most people’s lives, almost everyone who uses it has their own favourite series which they could binge watch over and over again. For me it’s Emily In Paris and I am so ready for the new series to come on in a couple of days! This basket would be great for someone who is obsessed with a certain Netflix series.

To Make: There are different ways which you can do this basket, you can either have everything related to the series such as Stranger Things who have lots of different merch or you could use something like the picture above and theme it on a series, for example for an Emily In Paris theme, you could get a lingerie set, luxury perfume, anything with a Parisian vibe, an omelette pan etc…

99.Ticket Shadow Box
Ticket shadow boxes are perfect for keeping tickets in for memories. You can put concert tickets in these or plane tickets. This will be perfect for anyone who loves to keep tickets for memories.

100.Custom Trainers
Custom trainers are a lovely gift for any trainer fans out there. You can either paint them yourself if you are artistic or you can create your own online through websites like Vans or you can buy them but you will be paying a lot for them!

If you are still here then thank you for spending the time to read through this gift guide, I hope I have managed to give you some good last minute ideas which you can get together and sort out for Sunday morning.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
