Latest Fashion Trends I Am Loving! Part 1

Since I would like this blog to mainly be a place for fashion I thought I would talk about what fashion trends I have been loving recently and what I will be wearing if lockdown ever ends 😫. I don’t have a particular style, I just like what I like so some of it may not even be a latest trend and I’ve just jumped on the bandwagon too late but I will share them with you anyway.  There are also a lot so I am going to split it into a couple of posts.

1. Stone Cargo Trousers
I do already love cargo trousers and that utility kind of style on most clothes but more recently I have been loving stone/camel coloured ones, I have seen a lot of outfits with them on Pinterest and just feel like they would go with most things in your wardrobe as it’s such a neutral colour tone to play with. I have found a really nice pair from Pretty Little Thing which are linked below.

2. Cardigan Tops
As I’m sure we all know 90s fashion is coming back in and I am 100% here for it! I just know that cardigan tops are going to be one of my favourite trends this spring/summer. My personal favourite is sold by Pretty Little Thing. It is currently sold out but you can still add it to the wishlist for when it comes back in as it is selling fast!

3. Racer Bodysuits & Tops
Racer is never a style that I have loved as I prefer something a bit more low cut but recently I’ve been watching a few Zara hauls on YouTube and everyone seems to be raving about their bodysuits. I don’t usually shop at Zara so I wouldn’t know if they are worth the hype or not but I am wanting to try it after this lockdown and see what I think because they do look very flattering on other people.

4. Long Straight Leg Jeans
Another 90s style I have been absolutely loving is the really long straight leg jeans which are almost bootcut. If it wasn’t for Pinterest I don’t think I would’ve been into these jeans. When I was younger I always said I would never be seen dead in jeans baggier than skinnies but this year I seem to be loving baggy jeans more than skinny ones. My personal favourite pairs that I have seen are both from Asos.

5. Perspex Heels
This is a trend I know I have definitely got on the bandwagon late with, although people are still wearing them, these were a thing ages ago. I feel like I always liked them when they first came out but was a bit like I don’t want my feet on show like that and always preferred the sandal version but then realised my feet are on show just as much in them so now I have just come to terms with that my feet will fully be out. The best pairs I seem to have found are from Simmi & Missguided.

6. Sweatshirts (Mainly Vintage)
If you didn’t really like sweatshirts that much before lockdown like me, I guess lockdown has taught you to like them a lot more. My personal favourite kind are vintage ones which are the best to find from Asos Marketplace. I just think they are so easy to throw on with a pair of jeans or cycle shorts and either trainers or doc martens and of course they are so comfy!! I will link Asos Marketplace below and I will also link a couple of other nice regular sweatshirts I have found on Pretty Little Thing.

7. Matching Jogger Sets/ Tracksuits
Of course another lockdown essential outfit that we are all loving at the minute. I have always loved a good tracksuit set especially for that perfect airport outfit. I have also been seeing a lot of pins where people are making their own sets up so for example it may be a little crop top and a matching jogger and I just think that it looks great and put together. I have found some favourites on Pretty Little Thing & Missguided and then I have also found a super cheap Adidas tracksuit on Very which I will link below because everyone needs it in their wardrobe!

8. White Denim
I’m not 100% sure if this is a current trend or not but I am really loving white denim recently, I just think it looks really nice with coloured denim. It also really brings out an outfit. Some of my favourite white denim pieces will be linked below

9. Band Tees
I guess band tees have been a trend for quite a while but I absolutely love them! I love how I can bring out my concert tour tees and wear them a lot more and then I have also recently bought a Queen one which I have been loving! I think they can make so many outfits look so vintage and that is definitely my kind of vibe. The best place to get them is Nasty Gal as they have a huge range

10. Harley Davidson Tees
I feel like these are definitely trending at the minute because I’m seeing them all over Pinterest! I have always liked Harley Davidson tees I think they are very vintage but they are also so expensive! You can buy them a little bit cheaper on Asos Marketplace but not that much cheaper so if you want one, be prepared to spend the dollar on them.

11. Oversized Blazers & Blazer Dresses
I have always loved a good blazer and liked it to be a bit oversized but not too much and then I always wanted a blazer dress to be fitted but I have now gone in the complete opposite direction and love a good boxy oversized blazer and same with a blazer dress. I think really oversized blazers look good over certain outfits and then a boxy blazer dress with a belt to cinch you in at the waist and then a pair of doc martens or trainers and it’s a look. Some of my most recent favourites are from Missguided & Pretty Little Thing.

12. Knit Co-Ords
I have only seen a few of these around but I do think there will be more to come in the near future as they are definitely the comfies we are all wanting in our lives right now. The best one I have seen is from Zara. I have also seen one on Asos too for anyone interested in that.

13. Tortoise Shell
I guess tortoise shell patterns have been a trend for a very long time but I seem to be loving them this year I love a top with tortoise shell buttons on and I also love tortoise shell sunglasses which is something I’ve not been a fan of in the past. Some of my favourite tortoise shell pieces will be linked below.

14. Check Shacket & Joggers
This is more of an outfit idea but I am loving check shirt jackets with joggers, I think it’s such a chilled outfit and great for this lockdown. You find that these shirt jackets are so expensive though but I would recommend trying the men’s section in Primark or something when it reopens you might manage to get one from there a lot cheaper.

15. Gingham Trousers
This is also something I’m not sure whether is a trend or not but I have seen a lot of pins with gingham trousers on and I’ve grown to like them with certain outfits. Printed trousers have never been something I would wear but maybe this will be the year. My favourite pair that I’ve seen are from Asos and by the brand Bershka.

16. Oversized Slouchy Cardigans
This probably isn’t the season for oversized slouchy cardigans but I have grown to love them again. I used to love them and then I kind of stopped wearing really chunky ones and just either had jumpers or a thin grey one which I have had for probably decades! But I feel like my love for them has come back and I’m happy about that, it is still a bit cold in the UK even though we are starting to get some slightly warmer temperatures so a cardigan will definitely come in handy still and the nicest one I have seen is from Missguided, it’s a bit expensive for Missguided but looks like a really good quality knit on the picture so if anyone gets it and it is worth it’s money please let me know.

17. Floral Dresses
I feel that floral dresses are a pretty standard trend for the spring and summer, especially spring and I just keep falling in love with them every year, they just bring out nicer and nicer ones. 3 of my favourite ones are from Boohoo, New Look & Pretty Little Thing.

18. Shirts
I feel like basic button up work shirts are coming in to fashion at the moment, I like how they look with jeans or leggings. My 2 favourite ones are both from Asos one is by Pull & Bear and the other is a New Look shirt.

19. Baseball Caps
I am not a hat person and I most definitely do not suit hats but I am hoping after this lockdown I can try and find the perfect outfit and make a baseball cap work with it because I am loving them lately. My favourite ones are the New Era ones which you can buy from Urban Outfitters.

20. Thinner Jumpers
Of course it’s not jumper season anymore but I still think in spring and summer you can get away with a thin jumper when it’s a slightly colder day. Some of my favourites are from Asos by Vero Moda, Missguided & Boohoo.

21. Floaty Midi Dresses With Biker Jackets & Doc Martens
This is another outfit idea that I have been loving so much, I think this will prove to be really popular throughout the spring/summer, it’s almost as if it’s girly with a touch of edginess with the boots and jacket and kind of showing that you have 2 sides. my personal favourite dresses are both from Asos and by Oasis & New Look and then I will also link my biker jacket that I already have and love and then doc martens also.

22. Graphic & Disney Tees
Graphic tees are another thing that have been a trend for a long time but I am wearing them a lot more recently, something I have also seen is pins where people have styled up a Disney t shirt which I have always struggled with, we all know how cute Primark’s Disney t shirts are but I just tend to never buy them because I don’t know what to put them with but after lockdown is over I think I may need to do a little Primark shop. Since Primark don’t have an online store I won’t link Disney t shirts but 2 of my recent favourite graphic tees are from Asos by Reclaimed Vintage and Zara.

23. Duster Coats
Duster coats are one of those things that never really go out of fashion and always tend to come back around. They are super easy to just chuck on over an outfit and great if it’s a bit chilly outside but the sun is shining and there is no rain. My personal favourites are from Missguided.

24. Floaty Midi Skirts
This is a style that I have been loving for a really long time but never thought would look good on me until I bought one of these skirts from Hollister a few months ago and it is literally one of the most flattering things I have ever put on my body, I am so excited to wear it out when the weather gets warmer. My personal favourites are by Hollister, Pretty Little Thing & New Look.

25. Broderie
Broderie styles are going to be so popular this summer! There are so many different things online in this design. Not only do I love the laser cut details of this design but I love how lightweight the material is and how nice it looks on holiday. My favourite broderie pieces are from Asos who have the best broderie range.

26. Vans Sk-8 Hi
These are a pair of shoes that I never thought I would get into but I think with the right outfit they can look really good on. They also look comfy and like they also last long as one of my close friends had a pair that she wore all the time! My favourite pair are from Schuh.

27. Tea Dresses
Tea dresses also know as wrap dresses are always popular during the summer they are so lightweight and flowy so you don’t feel restricted in the heat in them. They are also super girly which is a cute little vibe in the summer. Some of my favourite tea dresses are from Pretty Little Thing & Boohoo.

28. Neutrals
I’m not usually a neutrals kind of person but more recently I have been loving neutral outfits. I think they can look really put together and more sophisticated in some cases. One of my favourite neutral pieces is from Asos and by Miss Selfridge.

29. Lacy Bodysuits & Bralets
Lace bodysuits were definitely more on trend last year but I feel like they will definitely come back soon enough even though everyone had a love hate relationship with them and they were borderline underwear. A lot of people also seem to be using lace bralets a lot more for under a cardigan or under a cropped sweatshirt and I really like that idea. Some of my favourite pieces are from Missguided.

30. Neon Lime
This time last year I was getting ready to go to Magaluf for a week with my best friend and we had the best time (pray for me that this can happen again soon) anyway I took a top with me that I fell in love with which was neon yellow/green and it surprisingly looked good on me with it being such a bright colour and it wasn’t the warmest time when we were there so although I got a bit of a tan it was nothing crazy like the middle of summer would be anyway, this year I have spotted the colour creeping back in and I’m loving it I will definitely be wearing some of it in the summer. The best place for the options is definitely Pretty Little Thing! They have a huge range. My favourites are linked below

31. Trench Coats
Trench coats seem to be absolutely huge this year, I am seeing them in so many hauls. Trench coats are something I have always liked but since they have never really been in fashion that much before I have never picked one up but I know I will be this year some of my favourites are from Pretty Little Thing, H&M & Primark.

32. Heeled Mules
I used to hate these when they first came out and thought they would constantly fall off your feet but now they have really grown on me and I think they look really classy, When I’ve seen them on hauls they don’t look like they slip off your feet but someone may need to let me know that before I buy. My favourite pairs are from Pretty Little Thing, Missguided & Oh Polly.

33. Ribbed Midi Dresses
I guess these are always in fashion everyone seems to wear basic ribbed dresses but I feel like I need to buy a few this spring/summer to just chuck on with a pair of trainers and a trench coat if it’s a bit chilly. My absolute favourite one is from Asos and by Missguided and I will definitely be purchasing this.

34. Mom Jeans
Mom jeans are always something that come back around this time of year and I absolutely love them! I have recently bought a nice pair from Primark for £15 that some of you may love I will try and find the image on their website so you know what to look for but my other 2 favourites are the Asos Farleigh jeans and the Zara mom jeans.

35. Leather Trousers, Skirts & Shorts
I thought I would put all of these into 1 rather than separate categories but I have recently been loving leather trousers, skirts and shorts. I think they bring a more expensive look to an outfit and a different texture to it as well. Some of my favourite pieces are from Zara, Missguided & Pretty Little Thing.

36. Sports Socks
Something I have only very recently, within the last few days got into is the sport sock trend. I never liked it before and didn’t think it looked that good but now I seem to have finally got on that bandwagon. My favourite ones are from Very.

37. White Croc Leather Bags
I do already love croc leather textured clothing but I saw a white croc leather bag on YouTuber Carys Whittaker (Busybeecarys) a few months ago and I was in love with it. I went to buy it but it was quite expensive and I’ve been on the hunt for one ever since, I feel like more and more places are bringing them out but the best most practical one I have seen is actually sold by Harrods and is currently in the sale so you need to get hold of it while you can don’t worry it’s not a bag at hundreds of pounds it’s only £20.

38. Acid Wash
You have no idea how much I have been waiting for this trend to come back in! I absolutely loved acid wash in the past when it was in. I had so many jeans and jackets in it. I love the vintage vibes of it and also how edgy it can look. I will link a few of my favourite pieces below from Asos.

39. 1/4 Zip Sweatshirts
1/4 zip sweatshirts are something I’ve been loving a lot of lately I think they can look really flattering with the zip on them and some of them can also look very vintage. Some of my favourites are from Asos Marketplace & JD Sports.

40. Jumpers & Vinyl Leggings
I once tried to buy a vinyl skirt because I had seen so many posts on Pinterest where they looked so good but it was an expectation vs reality situation and it looked like I belonged on a street corner, I would hope that vinyl leggings don’t look the same because they look good with slouchy jumpers over them. I feel like at the moment in the UK you may still be able to get away with this outfit but it would be more autumn/winter. I will link a couple of jumpers and some leggings below if you also like this style.

41. Wide Leg Joggers
So I think this is what you would call them but I have been loving these lately (you will see what I mean in the images and links) they just look so comfy and you can throw them on with a pair of trainers a strappy top and a jacket and be good to go, they’re so simple to put together an outfit with and they are just comfy clothes that you can be happy in. My favourite pairs are from Pretty Little Thing & Boohoo.

42. Midaxi Dresses
I think that these dresses look so flattering on they are super sexy and will definitely look nice when we can go out clubbing again or even on a date if you have any coming up. My personal favourites are from Missguided & Pretty Little Thing.

43. Nike Jordans/Retro 4s
I don’t even remember the last time that I wore a hi-top trainer all I remember is buying ‘Pastry’ hi-tops from Foot Locker when I was younger. I am now in love with Nike Jordans and the Retro 4 versions of them. They look absolutely amazing with dresses! I never thought I would be into these but here I am. My favourite pair is from Nike

44. Flame Sunglasses
These are definitely only something for instagram pics or festivals. I don’t think you could wear these as normal sunglasses to be protected from the sun but they are the coolest sunglasses I have ever seen and I think many people will agree. I have found some on Ebay.

45. Tweed
I have been loving tweed lately. It looks so classy, workwear appropriate and it also looks a little bit extra. There are so many things in tweed lately and some of my favourite items are from H&M, Pink Boutique & Pretty Little Thing.

46. Jumper & Hoodie Dresses
I have always liked jumper dresses and I guess it’s not really the season for jumper dresses now but I feel like there may be some nice ones that are a thinner material which are more spring appropriate for the colder days. Hoodie dresses are also the same but there are some nice spring colours available. A hoodie dress with Nike Jordans looks absolutely amazing and then of course we all love a jumper dress with thigh high boots. Some of my favourite ones are from Missguided.

47. Baker Boy Hats
As I mentioned earlier I’m not really a hat person and definitely don’t suit them but I seem to be loving Baker boy hats I think they look great with so many outfits and some of them are so cheap as well. My favourite one is from New Look and comes in both Black & Camel.

48. Goose & Gander Clothing
This was a company I came across on Pinterest who sell unisex loungewear style clothing. Their designs are absolutely amazing and I am definitely going to buy one, they are also quite cheap as well. I will link the website below and a couple of my favourite pieces.

49. Joggers & Track Pants
Another thing that is a lockdown essential is joggers! I have always loved my joggers anyway it’s not a more recent trend I’ve got into but I have found a lot of outfits on Pinterest which make joggers wearable outside the house and I’m all about that for comfort! I am also really loving track pants especially Adidas ones they also seem to go with a lot of outdoor-wearable outfits. I won’t link any joggers here as I did further up but I will link the Adidas track pants that I have been loving from Asos.

50. Fishnet Tights & Socks
I know people are a bit funny about fishnet tights but I really like them at the minute, I’ve seen them styled under distressed jeans and think that looks great. I also like the look of fishnet socks sticking out of a pair of trainers.

I am going to finish this one here and then make a start on the second half of it. I am really sorry that half of the links are out of stock but most of them you can save to your wishlist for when they come back in. They do keep restocking these items so hopefully you can get your hands on them and also let me know what trends you’ve been loving lately.
