Home Bargains & The Range Haul

We all know how tempting it is to have a proper look around Home Bargains and other stores like that when we just go in for a few essential bits don’t we and we all know that Home Bargains and B&M especially tell us what we’re buying.

The first item I picked up was an absolute steal! I found an EOS lip balm for only £1.50 it was part of their flavour lab collection and I got it in sweet grapefruit and English rose. I’ve already used this and it works really well and helped my cracked lips.

The next item I picked up was some Slimfast lemon cookies. I have been on Slimfast now for almost 3 weeks and doing really well on it. These cookies are an amazing snack for if you fancy something sweet instead of savoury. I can’t find the receipt for Home Bargains so I can’t remember how much I paid for these but I assume it wasn’t much at all.
I am really into bullet journaling and doing the whole design myself so I picked up a pack of neon gel pens by the brand Zebra. They only came with 3 colours pink, blue and yellow but I thought they would be handy for my journal or even for highlighting bits of uni work. I paid around £1.50 for these as well.

The final item I picked up from Home Bargains was 2 bags of Pennstate sour cream and chive pretzels, these taste exactly the same if not better than the Slimfast ones and are a similar amount of calories for a bag. Not sure how much these are either but I know they aren’t much.

I also picked up a birthday card from Home Bargains, this was one of the main reasons I went in and for some red velvet fibre one cake bars but they were out of stock. If you can get the bars in your local store then I highly recommend them they taste absolutely amazing and not very high in calories neither.

Since I was aiming to get 2 birthday cards from Home Bargains and failed I ended up heading to The Range and spent an absolute fortune in there! Did I really need any of this? Nope but The Range told me to buy it!

The first item I picked up was a jewellery box. I already have one but I wanted something where I could put my most worn jewellery when I take it off at night. I thought this one was very handy as it had drawers in so I could put other things in there too. The rose gold also goes with the colour of my room which is great. I bought this for £15 so it was slightly more expensive but still not badly priced.

I then picked up some frames which are very similar to these from Wilko and paid £2 each for them, I have been wanting a couple of prints for my room so I have gone with these frames and think they will look great on my bedside tables with prints inside them.
Something I have been needing for awhile is a new make up brush holder as mine are too small. When I found this one at The Range I knew I had to have it and it was only £6. I just hope it fits all my brushes in now. The plans I have for my dressing table are great but I am just needing to find the motivation to do it.

Another thing I really needed for my room were some new coasters. I just took the old ones that we had downstairs and used them but they’re not very nice and they are just old now and don’t match my room so I ended up finding some in this same pattern and colour as the make up brush holder and they were super cheap.

In my room, I love to have cosy lights and I found this bottle adorable and loved how it had lights inside. It was also only £5. I’m not sure where it’s going yet but I know I’ll find somewhere for it.

The last home decor item I got was just a fridge storage box. I got this for my hot chocolate sachets to go in just to make some space in the cupboard instead of having a big box full of chocolate sachets. It was only £2 and fits my chocolates in perfectly.
The last 2 items I got are craft related because I absolutely love the craft section in The Range and needed to buy another birthday card in there. The first item being a dreamcatcher and wall hanging making kit, I had seen a candle making kit in Home Bargains for only £2 but the candle scent was vanilla which is a scent that gives me headaches so I left it and decided to look in the range, they had every other kit you can imagine but a candle one was nowhere to be found so I got this one instead. I thought it would give me something to do during lockdown when I’m bored. It was only £5.

The final item I picked up from The Range was some watercolour pens, I’ve been wanting some for ages for my journals but never got any so when I saw this huge pack at only £10 I thought I would give them a go.

To say I went into town for a few essential bits I came out with those as well as all this lot 🤦🏼‍♀️ I also bought a couple of other things that day but nothing that broke the bank too much thank god! I highly recommend going into your local Home Bargains and The Range stores as they have some bargains to be snapped up and hey ho if you get a load of new decor for your house then it gives you something to do during lockdown so it’s a win win situation really isn’t it.
