Fun Upcycling Projects To Do While Minimising Waste

Although I am usually a fashion/beauty blogger I wanted to share some fun upcycling projects with you that can help to minimise the waste crisis, we are currently going through. By upcycling, it’s a win-win situation. You are getting less waste into our oceans so our marine life isn't getting hurt and we are also not consuming as much waste when we eat seafood. We are also getting left with a useful product or decorative product for our houses.

Crayon Frame Teacher Gift.
So I think that this is a really cute end of year gift for a primary school teacher, they can hang it up with pride in their classroom. If you have any
photo frames lying around, they would be great for this craft if they are big enough. If your child has a pack of crayons that they don't use they can also be used. If you have any old board games specifically scrabble hanging around, you can also use the letters from that or you can buy scrabble tiles here and to stick it all together you will need a glue gun which most people have in their house, especially if they like to do crafts.

Skateboard Shoe Storage
This is a perfect shoe storage idea for any skateboarding fan or just if you want some shoe shelves. Not likely, but if you have a few
skateboards lying around then you can use these or you can buy some relatively cheap ones if you go to the right shops. If you want plain wood shelves, you will need some paint stripper which you may have hidden in a corner in the shed. You will also need threaded rods, some bolts, some
washers, some l shelf brackets and either a drill or a right angled driver which again you may find all hidden in your shed.

Bubblegum Machine Light
I love the 50s vibe behind this lamp, all it is, is adding some solar lights to a bubblegum machine , I highly recommend using solar powered lights and keeping the machine near a window just so you don’t have to keep taking the lid off to switch the lamp on and off. I think this will suit any diner style kitchen.

Suitcase Pet Bed
Now this has to be the cutest pet bed I have ever seen your pet will look adorable in this, obviously this bed will only be suitable for small sized animals like a small cat or dog as bigger ones won’t fit in it but it will be the best thing ever for them. They will love it. It will be like their own personal sofa. to make it you will need a vintage suitcase which you may find gathering dust in the attic or in your elderly relatives attic or you could search round a few charity shops and possibly find one cheap enough, a glue gun, a pillow which you may have spare but if you go the the right places they are pretty cheap to buy, a pet blanket which you may already have and some spray paint which if you don’t have, Wilko’s do a brilliant choice of colours.

Sweet Wrapper Pencil Case
So with it being back to school season and people will be starting high school, here is a cool idea for a pencil case that nobody else will have and it’s reducing waste. All you will need is a sweet bag or snack bag which of course is so easy to get, I recommend the share bag sizes that you can get just for size reference. You will also need some scissors, some Washi Tape which is relatively cheap to buy if you don’t already have any, a glue gun and a zip which you may find in your sewing kit or you can easily buy one of those sewing stands you see in the supermarkets. These are also so easy to make and don’t involve any sewing!!

Lightbulb Salt & Pepper Pots
If you have had any lightbulbs blow recently in your house instead of wasting them you could keep them and create these adorable salt and pepper pots from it. All you need is 2
lightbulbs, a pair of protective gloves which will probably be hiding in your shed somewhere , you will need a pair of pliers and a flathead screwdriver which will be found in your toolbox no doubt. You will need to be near a tap to rinse the bulb out so there are no shards of glass left inside. You will also need some salt & pepper which I am sure every household must have, 4 plastic bottle lids which are easy enough to get from meal deal drinks a pin, which will be somewhere in your sewing kit and also a glue gun to stick the lids on.

Can Tab Bowl
This bowl looks absolutely amazing and will hold a lot in there, you will need to either collect a lot of can tabs or you can buy them in bulk and you will also need some cable ties which I’m sure you will have in the house. That is all you need for this craft, all you have to do is attach them together with the cable ties and form it into a bowl.

Guitar Shelf
If any of us have a spare acoustic guitar for that day we finally decide to learn to play it when in reality we know it will never happen, you can create this adorable shelf out of it. I absolutely love this and not many people are going to have one of these. You will need an acoustic guitar that you may have spare, a jigsaw, a cordless drill, an impact driver, a random orbital sander, some pliers, a glue gun, some screws, a permanent marker pen, wooden planks, a walnut stain and a polyurethane. All this may be found in your shed.

Twig Candle Holder
This twig candle holder will be the perfect autumnal decor for any household and you only need three items. The first being some twigs from either the garden or the local park, the second being some sort of glass tumbler or candle holder that you may have spare, a tealight which you may have hanging round if you’re a candle fan and a glue gun to stick your twigs on with.

Pool/Snooker Ball Candles
I feel like these candles will make a perfect man cave gift for any man in your life that loves this sort of thing and best of all it’s homemade! If you are lucky enough to have a pool table in your house that you don’t use anymore, rather than wasting it, you could use the balls and the triangle for these amazing candles and you could always save the table and the cues for other crafts if you wanted. All you need for this DIY is some pool / snooker balls, a jigsaw which is linked above under the guitar shelf section, a triangle/rack, a glue gun and some tealights which are linked above.

Super Mario Aquarium Bits
This will definitely be the best fish tank around compared to the normal character ones you get in pet shops like Spongebob Squarepants and stuff like that. The only 2 items you will need to make these amazing aquarium bits are some Lego, which I’m sure your child will have plenty of or the Super Mario Acorn Plains Playset for if you aren’t very creative with Lego and wouldn’t know where to start to create anything.

Vinyl Cupcake Stand
Another item that I think would look amazing in a 50s diner style kitchen would be this vinyl cupcake stand, I am absolutely in love with this and defo want one for my own house! All you need is, a 33 1/3 rpm vinyl, a 78 rpm vinyl, a 45 rpm vinyl which no doubt you will have some old vinyls in the attic, a cake stand kit which are really easy to buy if you don’t already have one in the kitchen and some self stick felt pads which may be hidden in your shed.

Champagne Flute Candles
These champagne flute candles will look stunning as a dining room table centrepiece or wedding decor or even as a wedding favour and they are so easy to make! All you need is some champagne flutes, if you want it just for the house you may have some in the cupboard but if you want it as wedding decor or as favours you will need a few packs, a candle making kit, you can get normal candle making stuff if you want or if you are doing them in bulk it will be much more worth it but if it’s your first time making candles I would recommend a kit like this. You will need an old or cheap saucepan just in case the wax stains it and some essential oils. You can also do them in mugs & coffee cups as well and they will look just as cute!

Dandelion Paperweight
I absolutely love the look of these dandelion paperweights but they are so expensive to buy so I thought a good idea would be to find one we can all attempt at least. All you will need is a dandelion from the garden, some resin & hardener which you will probably not have hanging around the house but it’s not too expensive, a round mould which you could get from those little machines you see in shops for kids with little toys in and some latex gloves just for protection, you will probably have some in your cleaning cupboard.

Broken China Stepping Stones
If you have accidentally broken some crockery, instead of wasting it you could turn it into these lovely stepping stones for the garden just to add a bit of detail to it. If you haven’t got any broken crockery and still want to do this craft I recommend routing around different charity shops for old plates and cups and then smash them up but please be careful whilst doing this!! You will also need some cement which may be in the shed, some kitchen roll which you’ll no doubt have in your cupboard and a stepping stone mould which you may not have but you can buy one here.

Crayon Candles
So instead of going all out and buying a whole candle making kit you can also create them with crayons. The only candle making bits you will need are wicks which are super inexpensive, I don’t recommend using any essential oils with these crayon candles as you may not smell them over the crayon scent. The only other bits you need are a glass tumbler, a saucepan, a sharp kitchen knife to cut the crayons up and some crayons which are linked above.

Domino Clock
A retro clock idea would be to use a game of dominos. I absolutely love this creation and think it looks really cool. The other items you will need to make this are a wooden boardepoxy glue
varnish, a paintbrush which is linked above, a clock mechanism which is also linked above, some wood gluewood screws, a mitre saw, a table saw, drill and bits, a screwdriver and some clamps which you will find hidden in the shed if you enjoy woodworking.

Autumn Leaf Garland
This is such a stunning garland for the autumn months and really easy to make too, all you need is some autumn leaves gathered from outside, a strip of ribbon to hang the leaves on and a hole puncher to punch through the leaves to thread them onto the ribbon also you will need a flower press to preserve the leaves.
How To Make A Leaf Garland

Hama Bead Wind Spinner
Now it’s the summer holidays, you could make this adorable wind spinner with the kids and they will absolutely love it! All you will need are some
Hama beads which I’m sure your child has plenty of, a circle peg board which may have come with the Hama bead set you bought, some greaseproof paper which you will find in the kitchen cupboards, an iron which I am sure most households will have and some needle and thread which you can pick up from embroidery stands in any supermarket or in your sewing kit.

Sweet Wrapper Phone Case
Instead of wasting more sweet wrappers, you can make a really cute phone case out of it and it’s so so easy to make! All you need is a clear phone case for your model of phone, a sweet wrapper of any kind, it doesn’t have to be pop rocks. A pair of scissors and some sort of marker pen to draw out the shape of your phone case. You don’t even need to glue it in all you need to do is cut it down to size and fit it inside the case.
Another fun craft idea with Hama beads is to create a phone case from them, you will need a clear phone case of your model phone, a
square peg board or rectangle if you can find one, I couldn’t find one to link here, some Hama beads, some greasproof paper and an iron all of which are linked above. You will also need a glue gun to stick the Hama bead pattern down.

Nail Art Striping Tape Phone Case
The next phone case I found was this one. Geometric patterns are such a big thing at the moment but it’s so expensive to buy them. I came up with the idea of using nail art striping tape to create the same pattern. You can buy the striping tape here if you don’t already have some in your nail stuff, you can get it in so many different colours! You will also need a clear phone case or a coloured one if you wish.

Pom Pom Phone Case
The final phone case idea is one that is decorated with craft pom poms. It is so much easier to decorate it with these rather than make your own and then stick them to the phone case. All you will need is a clear phone case, some craft pom poms and a glue gun.

Rhinestone Make Up Brushes
I absolutely love this idea! If you have any old and grubby make up brushes that may not quite be ready for the bin but still don’t look great, you could always jazz them up a bit by using those sticky gems we always used to use as earrings. Just to keep them stuck down I recommend using a glue gun as I’m sure we all know they don’t always stick very well. If you need some cheap
make up brushes to do this craft I would recommend Superdrug or Primark. I would also recommend using a pair of tweezers for precision with the tiny, fiddly gems.

Pokeball Terrarium
I have to say, I think this is the best plant terrarium I have ever seen! It’s based on a pokeball from Pokemon and it just looks so cool, the way I would do this would be to get a bath bomb mould for the outside of it, I would probably use a circle of cardboard just as a stand so it doesn’t constantly roll around and another circle of cardboard just to give it the illusion of a pokeball. For the black line I would probably use some electrical tape which most households may have and for the bottom white half I would just get some white spray paint. Now for the fun part of this terrarium, first of all I would get another circle of cardboard that fits the rim of the mould and glue it in with a glue gun so it’s not all covered by the white half of the pokeball and then it’s just a case of possibly getting a sample of
artificial grass, some fairy garden decorations and some Pokemon figures. With this part you can really make it your own.

Ice Cube Tray Terrarium
So although I think this picture may be with stained glass, it gave me the idea of creating a terrarium from an ice cube tray or even a seedling tray would be a good idea. It saves buying the normal seedling trays. All you need is an ice cube tray which I’m sure most people will have, some kind of craft knife to stab holes in the bottom of the trays, you will also need some potting compost and some succulent seeds or cacti seeds or both if you feel like it.

Healing Crystal Fairy Garden
If you’re into healing crystals and all that this may be an amazing craft for you! For the outside of it I would suggest buying some sort of glass bowl if you can or like an open terrarium. I have found a link of some glass fish bowls that may work for this craft, you will also need some artificial grass which has been linked above or even pebbles whatever you want to use for the ground of your fairy garden. You will also need some fairy garden  decorations which again have been linked above and most importantly you will need some
healing crystal quartz. You can really make these things your own and it’s so much fun to do.
These would make either perfect Christmas decorations for an outdoor tree as baubles or even party decorations. All you need to do this is some paper lanterns, some mod podge, if you do crafts a lot you may already have some of this. a sponge applicator brush, some glitter I recommend getting a lot of this as you will be painting the lanterns with it and you will need something to mix the glitter and mod podge together in.

Frosty Pinecones
These pinecones would make a beautiful Christmas decoration or you could also add them to a wreath if you’re into wreath making. It will soon be the time of year here in the UK where pinecones will be falling from the trees so you can easily go and pick some up and then you will also need some glitter, mod podge, a small paint brush and a mixing bowl just to mix together the glitter and mod podge.

Plaster Get Well Soon Card
If you know anyone who is currently ill whether they are in hospital or at home, sometimes a get well soon card can really cheer someone up. I think this design is super cute and it’s so easy to make all you will need is some coloured card which you may already have, a pritt stick which you also may already have, some scissors, a pen, some fabric plasters which will be in your first aid kit and some googly eyes which you may already have.

Winnie Pooh Button Art
You can have other characters instead but I just found this one. This button art looks so much fun to do! And will look so cute in a nursery or child’s bedroom. All you need is a photo frame which you will find linked above, a pencil to draw out your character, if you’re not the best at drawing like me I would recommend having a printer and internet to print your image out and some tracing paper. You will also need some correct colour
buttons and a glue gun. If you have a Pinterest account and are interested in doing this you can find different ones on there! You can also get some scrabble letters if you want to do this one.

Hama Bead Jack O Lantern
When Halloween season is fast approaching, this would be the perfect Halloween decoration to stick in your window. All you need to make this is some sort of glass tumbler or candle holder which you will find linked above, you will also need some tealights, some hama beads which you will also find linked above, a square pegboard (I will leave a link on how to create a jack o lantern pattern) and then finally you will need an iron and some greaseproof paper. You will also need a glue gun to glue it together.

Wedding Flip Flops
I believe that this is the ultimate wedding hack for all you girlies out there who are getting married soon. These are great to keep in a clutch bag or even in your room if you’re staying in your party venue for when your shoes start to hurt with the beautiful heels you have on. All you will need is a pair of white flip flops, some decorative pearls and jewels and a glue gun.
How To Make Wedding Day Flip Flops

Bridesmaid Coat Hangers
Another cute wedding hack idea is to do these lovely bridesmaid coat hangers for each bridesmaid’s dress and of course a special one for the maid of honour too. These are such cute little reminders for each bridesmaid as well if they want to keep them. All you need is some wooden coat hangers, some sort of permanent marker pen to write each name on the hanger and some ribbon for decoration.

Scrabble Letter Necklace
For anyone that wants a statement necklace or someone who just enjoys scrabble, this necklace would be perfect for you. All you will need is a
chain, some jewellery pliers, some scrabble tiles, a glue gun, a drill and some jump rings.

Plastic Bottle Jewellery Stand
This is a really good idea instead of throwing away those nasty plastic pop bottles. It also doesn’t look the worst. All you will need is an empty pop bottle, some sandpaper, a drill, a threaded rod which is linked above and some nuts and bolts which are also linked above.

Barbie Shoe Earrings
So as crazy as these sound, they actually don’t look too bad and I would definitely wear them, they would be great for kids as well. All you will need is a pair of barbie shoes which I’m sure your little one with let you have one pair, some jewellery pliers, earring hooks and some jump rings. You may also need a pin just to stab a hole in the shoe for the hooks to go through.

Brooch Neckace
This is a really good idea if you have been passed on some very vintage looking elegant brooches from a loved one to make something different but still keep them. All you need is a chain which is linked above, some jump rings, some jewellery pliers and some vintage brooches.

Vintage Earring Bracelet
This is something that looks adorable! I have only just figured out you have to use clip earrings but they still look as effective, you will also need a chain bracelet, with this sort of chain it will work just as well to clip them on but if you have a different type of chain, you will need jump rings and some jewellery pliers.

Crochet Choker
This choker is a little different to your regular tattoo chokers you can buy so it will definitely be worth doing if you enjoy crocheting. All you need is some wool, some crochet needles and this pattern.

Tulle Pom Poms
These make gorgeous party decorations and they are so easy to make all you will need is some cardboard, some ribbon, some tulle fabric and some scissors.

Instagram Photo Garland
This garland would look nice as a bedroom decoration or just as a special birthday decoration. All you will need is access to Instagram, a printer, some kind of document to alter the sizing of the image like word, you will also need a pair of scissors, a glue gun and some string. You can also do this with comic books.

Fruit Cocktail Umbrellas
These umbrellas could make you feel like you are sipping cocktails on the beach abroad while sunbathing if you have a good imagination of course. All you need to make these is some cocktail sticks, some coloured card, some scissors, some felt pens and a couple of hama beads just to keep the card on the sticks. These will look adorable in your drinks. So this was the only tutorial I could find and I’m afraid it’s not in English but hopefully someone can translate.

Jingle Bell Toss
This has a really fun festive twist on your average game of beer pong. All you will need for this are some plastic cups and some jingle bells and of course the alcohol.

Ping Pong Ball Lights
If you love fairy lights up in your room, these ping pong ball ones look really effective and look quite pretty on the walls. To make these you will need some fairy lightsping pong balls and a craft knife to slit a hole in the balls.

I think this DIY looks absolutely amazing!! I would love to do this, I can figure out how to do one but not with 2 frames, to do one, you will need a shadow box, a jigsaw, some sort of letter stencil which will be linked above, some black acrylic paint and some boarding passes from previous flights.

For the second idea you will need an electric wax burner and some Lenor Unstoppables.

Instead of paying for reed diffuser after reed diffuser you could always use an empty perfume bottle instead if you have any. For this you will need a perfume bottle, some essential oils of your choice and some reed sticks.

Preschool Taste Test
I decided to add this because I thought it was a great idea to try at home with your little ones so they get to know different flavours and start to learn their senses. To do this you will need a Yorkshire Pudding Tin, some mini marshmallowssmarties, it also looks like in this same hole they have some raisins in. You will also need some tangerines, some cheese, some icing, some mixed berries, some chocolate chips, some lemons, some pretzels, some rice, something spicy possibly chilli heatwave doritos and some sweeter biscuits such as lotus biscoffs. You can really add whatever you want as long as they have very different flavours.

Mosaic Bird House
So, I have heard before that birds will not use a birdhouse if it has been painted or has anything else on it other than the natural wood it’s made from but I have no scientific proof of this, it may be worth a try and if not it will make a cute little garden decoration. All you will need to make this is a wooden birdhouse, some white spray paint primer, some broken china which I have linked above, some white sanded grout, some

It would either make a great secret Santa gift or just a regular gift for a friend. To make this amazing craft you will just need one of the cold drinks cups from Starbucks, obviously washed out, you will also need to pick up another green straw as you don’t want to give someone the one you used. For the inside you will just need some small bits such as a lip balm, a
nail polish, a gift card, other different ideas could include these 3 Pack Chocolatestravel size products or mini nail files. The possibilities are endless if you can find the right sized products.

Melted Crayon Frame
So, I may have already linked some melted crayon art above but this time it is on a porcelain photo frame and looks really cute. These sheet music letters look really nice as bedroom decor and they are a bit different, all you will need is a paper mache letter, some mod podge which has been linked above and a songbook, you may also need some scissors to cut the page out of the book and some foam brushes to use to paint the mod podge on.

CD Case Photo Frames
If you can’t find any photo frames that you like you can improvise and use hard CD cases. All you need to do is cut a photo down the size and stick it in then stick it on the wall. They actually look pretty cute!

Dandelion Jar
This is an adorable thing for the kids to do if they believe in fairies. You can say to them that they have caught some fairies whilst doing this craft. All you will need is some dandelion clocks and a message bottle.

Mosaic Serving Tray
Don’t worry, this isn’t a mosaic that includes using more broken crockery, this time, we have a safer way to create mosaics with broken up CD’s. Other supplies needed are a deep serving tray and a glue gun. You don’t have to use this as a serving tray, it would also make a good table centrepiece with bits on it like candles for example.

Culinary Herb Wreath
Some people really enjoy making wreathes and this also may be really handy for some people who enjoy cooking with herbs. For this craft you will need a wreath ring, some florist wire, some elastic bands, some cable ties and some fresh herbs of your choice.

Can Herb Garden
Whilst still on the subject of herbs, you can also try this adorable herb garden with your old coke cans. All you need to do this is an empty and clean can, depending on how many you want to do. You will also need a tin opener, some spray paint which I have linked above, some sticky labels, some chalkboard paint which has been linked above and some chalk, these are totally optional but they will make your cans look cute. You will also need some soil and some fresh herb plants which have been linked above, alternatively you could use some plant labels so you don’t get mixed up between what herbs are what.

Mondrian Drawers
These drawers will definitely add a little colour to your room. All you need is a set of black drawers, some masking tape and some red, blue, yellow and white spray paint which you will find at Wilko’s.

First Home Key Keepsake
This is the most adorable idea for any newly wed couples or any couples who are moving into another house together. All you need to make this is some baking clay which has been linked above, a cut version of your old house key which you can get from timpsons, some ribbon which has been linked above, a marker pen to write the address down on and an oven to bake the clay.

Cheese Grater Kitchen Lights
I know this sounds so weird, but it surprisingly looks so effective and pretty. It’s also quite creative how somebody has thought of this. For this craft you will need 3 4 Sided Cheese Graters, 3 black pendant lights, 3 lamp making kits, some wood which I will have linked above, a drill, a drill bit slightly larger than your electrical cord, 3 lightbulbs which have been linked above and some wire cutters which have also been linked above.

Starbucks Frappuccino Candle
We all love a good Starbucks and these frappuccino candles will make great gifts for people, to make this you will need a bottle of Starbucks Frappuccino, some soy wax flakes which I have linked above in other candles, some candle wicks which have also been linked, a coffee coloured crayon which will hopefully be in the crayon packs linked above some coffee essential oil and something to mix the wax in, I suggest a camping mug just because they can be cheap and disposable if the wax destroys the mixer you used.

Star Anise Candle
These candlesticks will be perfect for anyone who loves the smell of aniseed. All you need for this craft is a candlestick, some star anise and lots of it, and a glue gun.

Dried Orange & Pinecone Garland
These garlands will be perfect deco in the autumn and winter months and they are so easy to make, for this you will need some oranges which you can dry yourself, you will need some pinecones from outside and some string which is already linked.

Towel Bath Mat
Instead of buying new bath mats every now and then, you could use some of your old towels when you’re due some fresh ones and make them into this gorgeous bath mat. All you will need is 3-4 bath towels, a cutting mat, a rotary cutter, some scissors, some pins and some needle and thread.

Dreamcatcher Garland
If this doesn’t get rid of all your bad dreams then I don’t know what will and obviously their myth isn’t true. All you will need for this is some sort of driftwood branch, some string and some white dreamcatchers.

Pom Pom Wreath
Everyone seems to be obsessed with pom pom crafts lately and they are really easy to make you just need patience. For this craft you will need a wreath ring, a glue gun, a pom pom maker set, some wool and some scissors.

Savings Jars
We all know we’re guilty for not saving money but with these jars it may be able to help. All you will need for this craft is a wooden panel, 3 jars which have been linked above, a glue gun, some twine for decoration and some mini chalkboards, you may also need some chalk to write on them with and you will also need some nails to nail the chalkboards into the panel.

Gin Reed Diffuser
Everybody is loving gin lately, it’s definitely the drink that most people have so this would make a lovely gift. You will need an empty gin bottle, some gin and tonic essential oil and some reed sticks which I have linked above.

Fruit Slice Umbrellas
These are the prettiest umbrellas I have ever seen just make sure you don’t take them out in the wind where they will break. For the watermelon umbrella, you will need a red umbrella, for the kiwi umbrella you will need a green umbrella and for the lemon umbrella you will need a yellow umbrella. Other supplies include masking tape which I have linked above, some fabric safe craft paint and some scissors

Crochet LED Rug
I love the look of this rug and think it will be so pretty lit up on a night. All you need to make this is some merino wool, some crochet hooks and some rope lights.

Jenga Lamp
This lamp looks so cool when it’s lit up. All you need to make this is a lamp base, a jenga game, some superglue which has been linked, some wood glue which has also been linked and a lightbulb which has also been linked.

Wallpaper Stairs
This is probably one of the easiest DIY’s of them all. All you will need is a pair of blank stairs with no carpet some wallpapers, some scissors or a Stanley knife to cut the paper down to size and then some wallpaper paste which has been linked above in the doily lamp.

Coke Bottle Vases
You wouldn’t think the glass coke bottles would make great house decor but with a bit of spray paint and some artificial flowers it could really look cute together, I personally love this one with three but you don’t have to use all of them in the pack if you don’t want to.

Twister Mat Shower Curtain
So, remember how I said earlier to save the twister mat for something else when you can turn it into this shower curtain. You will need a
twister mat, something to create holes in the mat such as a hole punch if it will go through the mat. You will also need a shower curtain rod which is linked in the bike wheel light and some shower curtain rings. I think this will look awesome in any bathroom.

Tyre Ottoman
This ottoman will make the perfect patio furniture and it’s simple to make. All you need is a big tyre which you can easily pick up from your local tyre yard. You will also need a piece of wood which I have linked above, you will need a jigsaw to cut out a circle in the wood, you will need some rope which has been linked above and a glue gun.

Plastic Bottle Cat Planter
These are the cutest little plant pots ever and they are helping to reduce the plastic waste in our oceans. For this craft you will need a 2 litre pop bottle which I have linked above, a craft knife, some sort of marker pen to draw out your cat shape, some acrylic paints, some soil and a plant.

Test Tube Spice Rack
I think this spice rack will really do up a kitchen and make it look nicer than just your regular spice racks. For this you will need a plywood bamboo strip, some test tubes, some different herbs and spices, some measuring spoons, a screw hook, some mini l brackets, a saw and a drill.

Tissue Paper Mug
Now I’m not sure how this one would work out but if you want to try it I would love to know how it went. To make this you will need a plain white mug, some coloured tissue paper, some
patterned tissue paper, some mod podge which has been linked above and some foam brushes to apply the tissue paper with.

Terracotta Pot Citronella Candles
We all know how pesky the little flying insects can be when we’re just trying to sunbathe in the garden well with these citronella candles they won’t be anywhere near you. All you need for this are some terracotta pots, a candle making kit and some citronella essential oil.

VW Camper Van Drawers
These drawers look absolutely adorable and if you’re artistic enough you may be able to recreate these. You will need a bedside table, a pen or pencil to draw out your campervan pattern, some wood paint, some drawer handles, a VW Decal, some push lights which you can get from Poundland, a glue gun, a personalised registration plate, some nails and a hammer.

Watermelon Mason Jar
This is the perfect cup for those summery days with some pop in and ice or a cheeky g+t if it’s not a school night. All you need to make this is a mason jar which has been linked above, some
PVA Glue, some pink food colouring, some green string and a black permanent marker to draw on the seeds. You will also need some kind of paintbrush to apply the pva and pink food colouring.

Coffee Shadow Box
For all my fellow coffee lovers out there this is definitely one for you! This shadow box looks really cool and will look good in any kitchen. For this you will need a shadow box which I have linked above, some sort of coffee print fabric, some scissors, some coffee beans which I have linked above, a letter stencil and some white acrylic paint which are also linked already.

Floral Happy Decor
This is such a cute little decor piece for your house and I absolutely love it. It’s so girly and cute. All you will need for this is some paper mache letters which have been linked in the sheet music letter decor, you will also need a glue gun, some scissors and some brightly coloured artificial flowers.

Fruit Fans
So these may be a fun one to do with the kids during the school holidays if we have any nice weather coming up and that’s a big if when you’re in the UK. These are so easy to make, all you will need are some wooden lolly sticks, some acrylic paints which have been linked, some coloured card which has also been linked, some PVA glue and some of those split pins that you use for files and things.

Pom Pom Headband
These headbands will be lovely for the kids or they will even look good if you’re due to go to any music festivals. For this craft you will need one of those cheap black plastic headband, a pom pom maker which has been linked above, some wool, some scissors and a glue gun.

Lacy Jeans
If you have an old boring pair of jeans, instead of getting rid of them you can turn them into these gorgeous lacy ones, all you will need is a pair of jeans, possibly some scissors if they have no holes in them and some needle and thread. These jeans will look great when they’re done.

Bandana Clothing
So there are 3 items in this section, a denim shirt, a crop top and a bralette. Instead of doing them separately I thought I would put them all in one. The first item is the denim shirt which will look gorgeous on and it’s a bit different. For this you will need a denim shirt, 2 bandanas, a needle and thread and some scissors. For the crop top you will need a bandana, some needle and thread and a bikini top in your bandana colour so you can cut the straps off for your new bandana crop top. Finally, for the bralette the prettiest one! You will need an old bra, a bandana or 2, some needle and thread, a clip on chain or 2 if you want more decorations and some spike studs.

Pearl Sunglasses
If you want a bit of an extra vibe going on with your sunglasses you can create these Chanel vibe ones right here so easily. All you will need is a pair of sunglasses, some decorative pearls, a pair of tweezers and a glue gun.

Handpainted Leather Jacket
We all know how expensive these can be or even just an embroidered one but they look so pretty!!! They are easy enough to do yourself. All you will need is a biker jacket, some sticker printer paper, access to a printer, an internet connection, a craft knife and cutting mat, some fabric paint and some paint brushes which have been linked above. If you even want to you can add some sticky gems if you want to do some rhinestone detail but I do recommend using a glue gun and tweezers for this just so they will stick.

Disney Poundland Bag Crafts
Not only are these shopping bags adorable and proving very popular at Poundland but they can be used for some great crafts. The first one I have seen is cushions and another one that I have seen is the Ikea Kallax Units drawer inserts decorated with them. They would look adorable in a kid’s room. First of all for the cushions, all you will need is the bags which unfortunately won’t come up on the Poundland website so you will have to go into your local one and see what designs they have available, you will also need a cushion insert for each design you decide to, some scissors and a needle and thread. For the second craft you will need some drona boxes, some scissors and a glue gun.

Desk Calendar
Desk calendars are really helpful for anyone that doesn’t have the room for a normal hanging calendar but they can be just as expensive. Instead you can make one with a medium sized wooden box, some spray paint, a scrapbook paper book, a pritt stick, some scissors, some
tie back hooks, some gift tags, some acrylic paints, some paintbrushes and possibly some stencils if you want it accurate rather than freehand.

Box Notebooks
With it being back to school season, a really cool notebook idea would be to upcycle cereal boxes or pop tarts boxes. Other supplies you will need are a ringbinder notebook, a marker to draw out your shape, some scissors and a hole punch.

Keyboard Key Paperclips
If you’re starting uni this year and need some paperclips, you don’t have to stick with boring ones you can upcycle either old computer keyboards or use craft pom poms to jazz them up a bit you will just need to stick them on with a glue gun.

Russian Doll Pencil Holder
I have 2 suggestions for this craft, the first one being a usual Russian Doll to use as a pencil holder and the other is the original one that I saw. For this craft you will need a specific shampoo bottle, I recommend Vo5, you will also need some
felt, some scissors, some pritt stick, some googly eyes, some ribbon and some buttons.

Washi Tape Stationery
Washi tape is amazing to decorate things with and upcycle them. On these 2 crafts you will need some pencils, some scissors and a ringbinder file

Galaxy Notebook
Galaxy print is such a huge trend right now so this notebook will look adorable when it’s done and the galaxy print isn’t that hard to create neither. All you will need is a black notebook, some make up wedges, some black, white, purple and pink acrylic paints and possibly a hair grip or some nail art dotting tools.

EOS Eraser
This is something nice and compact that you can take to school or uni with you and again it’s quite easy to make. You will need a Lip Balm you can get EOS if you like but I personally think that would be quite expensive to just scrape the lip balm out of it. You will also need a spatula and some eraser clay

Doggy Ice Cream Treats
As we are coming towards the end of this post (finally) I thought I would get the pets involved in this somehow too, the second to last craft are these doggy ice cream treats. All you need is a Yorkshire pudding tin which I have linked above, some bun cases, some plain yoghurt, some peanut butter, some bananas and some milk bones for decoration if you wish.

Cheerio Bird Feeder
The final idea I found was this adorable cheerio bird feeder for your parrot. All you will need is some wire which has been linked above, some ribbon and some Cheerios. Your little friend will absolutely love knawing at this.

Thankyou to all my readers if you have got this far. I hope you decide to do some of these crafts and if you do please show me because I would love to see how they went! I just want to let people know as well none of these links are affiliated I just prefer to see links myself in posts so I can grab the products if I need them, I just find it more helpful.
