Body Shop Haul & Product Review

I was meant to write this awhile ago but as the last few months have been a bit tough, I never got round to it. Luckily, these products are still available to buy so I will link them in the post for you to try out yourself. I went to a body shop party a few months ago and I have never looked back with these 4 products! It has made me really love the body shop and it just makes it even better as the company sells all cruelty free products and I believe they have a lot of vegan products too if not all of them.

Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Clay Face Wash
I decided to write about this one first as it is well and truly my favourite product from them. This face wash makes your skin feel absolutely amazing. After using this product your skin instantly feels tighter and less greasy. It also does a fantastic job of removing your blackheads and you can instantly tell the difference. I like to rub this in until it all soaps up, leave it on for a couple of minutes and then wash it off with a flannel and warm water and it does my skin the world of good. It may not look the nicest with the charcoal inside it but I think it smells so nice and you can smell it on your skin for the rest of the day. This face wash costs £9.50 for 125ml which may sound expensive but I feel like it’s definitely worth it’s money. I would highly recommend this product to anybody with oily skin as it clears it up instantly, takes out any impurities and makes your skin feel so much nicer. You can buy this product here

Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask
This tea tree night mask is my second favourite product that I bought from the party, this stuff is also amazing, it’s so easy to just put some on your face, let it dry and then fall asleep in it and let it do the magic overnight. I have found that this stuff doesn’t stain your bedding either but I am not 100% sure what it would do to crisp white bedding so just be careful with that. The texture of this feels so cool, it’s like a jelly sort of texture and then once you’ve finished using it it goes back to its original shape and levels off again which is so satisfying (I know, I need a life don’t remind me) I am a complete weirdo who loves the smell of tea tree products but it is a very strong scent so if you’re not a fan of it then this may not be the product for you. You can buy this product for £12 and this is for 75ml. You can buy it here

Pink Grapefruit Body Yoghurt
You can get this stuff in different scents but I really like the pink grapefruit one and am really tempted to try the banana one next. This stuff can be used as a top up moisturiser and it makes your skin feel so nice afterwards. It also has various other uses as well, I tend to use it for the eczema on the backs of my legs and elbows mainly and it really helps to soften it and stop it irritating, since I cannot cope with itching I have managed to knock the tops off some of my eczema spots which makes them more sensitive and more irritated so this stuff really calms it down, especially when I decide to wear rough jeans. I also use this to clear up the dried skin I get around my nose stud. I don’t know about anyone else with a nose piercing but mine gets loads of dry skin around it and it used to be so annoying having to peel it off (grim, I know) but this body yoghurt has been a godsend for that. My auntie also recommended using it to keep the appearance of tattoos up and to stop them fading, I am yet to try that but my tattoo is ok for now and not fading. I definitely don’t recommend using it on brand new tattoos as a moisturiser though because of them being scented, it won’t do the open wound any good. I would definitely stick to the proper stuff that your tattoo artist recommends. You can buy this product for £8.50 for 200ml, you can buy it here.

Amazonian Saviour
The final product I bought from the body shop party was the Amazonian Saviour which is like a moisturising balm. I wanted to pick this up because it helps to reduce the sight of stretch marks, scars and any other imperfections like these. I have a lot of stretch marks on my sides and they make me really self conscious and I hate them being on show. As I’ve been losing a bit of weight over the last year or so they have been starting to fade but the Amazonian Saviour balm has definitely helped to get rid of them more, I am yet to try it on a small scar I have on my face to see if it fades that, it’s only a tiny scar just from a fake lip ring that accidentally pierced through the skin and got infected as I didn’t look after it but it still becomes noticeable when I have a tan. I will keep you up to date with how that goes but I highly recommend it to get rid of stretch marks and what I love about it is that it doesn’t leave you feeling like you need a wash afterwards like bio oil does, I can’t stand anything oily, it feels awful! But this is definitely not greasy. You can buy it for £9 for 50ml and you can buy it here

I hope you decide to try these products for yourselves and please let me know how you get on with them as I would love to know. I will definitely be trying more body shop products.
