1. Bailey’s Hot Chocolate Set
The first item I got was from my cousin and she managed to find me a Bailey’s hot chocolate set. I haven’t actually drank it yet but I certainly will be doing. It came with a cute mug, a pack of hot chocolate, a pack of mini marshmallows, a mini bottle of Bailey’s and a super cute whisk. It was such a lovely gift.
2. Soap & Glory Body Butter Set
This set was gift number 2 from my cousin and I have to admit I have been loving it! I got a Soap & Glory set for Christmas and I had never used it before up until then. When I saw a Soap & Glory gift set I was so excited to use it and have definitely been loving the righteous butter.
3. Nivea Lip Set
I absolutely love receiving Nivea lip gift sets, for someone who suffers with lips that get cracked and chapped so easily. These are a god send. This set came from my auntie and uncle. It came with 4 different lip balms. 2 of the regular ones and then 2 of their lip butters. I have been using the red berry one loads and it is so good and I love how I got a limited edition red glittery one.
4. Lolly Sponge
Another gift I got from my auntie and uncle was this adorable lollipop sponge. I actually love this. It just constantly reminds me of summer.
5. Double Heart Pandora Earrings
These beautiful Pandora earrings came from my best friend and I have not had them out since the day I got them! They are well and truly stunning. The really cool thing about them is that they also come apart so you have 2 pairs of earrings. That comes in so handy for me because I have a first lobe piercing and a second lobe piercing. I absolutely adore them.
The rest of my family gave me money and this next part is going to be what I spent that on.
1. Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Face Wash
The weekend after my birthday, I was invited to a Body Shop party and I have to say I spent a lot! My New Years Resolution for 2019 was to take more care of my skin and this party was based on skincare, so I guess they saw me coming? The first item I got was this face wash. I haven’t got round to using this just yet but I will do soon and I will let you know as soon as I do.
2. Body Shop Body Yoghurt
I have heard so much about these body yoghurts and always wanted to try one but I was worried it might make my skin very oily. I ordered the British Rose one but they didn’t have that in so they replaced it with the pink grapefruit one which I am so glad about now. I tested this on my skin whilst at the party and instantly wanted it. It makes your skin feel so lovely. It has also helped so much with my dry skin and eczema. I will do a proper review of this when I get round to it.
3. Body Shop Tea Tree Anti Imperfection Night Mask
This is another Body Shop product I am highly impressed with and this is a face mask which you apply during the night before you go to sleep and leave it on all night. Don’t worry it dries eventually and doesn’t stain your pillows. I used it for the first time the other night and I love it. It made my skin feel and look better the day after but obviously you’re not going to see a difference with one use but it will definitely work if you keep using it. I think I’m going to use it about twice a week just because it won’t do much if you apply it everyday.
4. Body Shop Amazonian Saviour
The final item I got from here was the Amazonian Saviour balm which is meant to reduce the appearance of stretch marks or scars and also keep the appearance of tattoos. After one use on my stretch marks I did actually notice a difference and it faded them a bit but I can’t say I’ve judged it for tattoos as my only one is quite a newish one and it’s also all black so it might not fade for a while. What I also love about this product is that it doesn’t have that greasy feeling afterwards like Bio Oil does. I can’t stand that greasy feeling to the point where I can’t even cope holding a bottle of cooking oil so I am really happy that this is something that works that also doesn’t feel awful.
5. Vans T Shirt
Onto clothing now, from the same Body Shop party, there was a girl there who was wearing this t shirt and I just knew I instantly needed it. I was originally going to buy one of the Adidas t shirts but as soon as I saw this top I had to have it. I bought it online at Vans.com for £22.40 in the sale. I much prefer this one to the Adidas t shirts.
6. Adidas Leggings
Another item I have been wanting for such a long time are a pair of Adidas leggings. I’ve been looking all over for them but when I’ve felt some pairs they have just felt like normal cheap leggings for a much higher price so I didn’t bother until I came across this pair for £23 from Sports Direct. I have pretty much not had them off since!
7. Be Cool Honey Bunny Bodysuit
I saw this bodysuit on Dolls Kill absolutely ages ago and fell in love with it. I just love the slogan on it I don’t know why. However, on their website it was just under £40 which I feel is so expensive for a bodysuit and then I found one on Depop brand new for only £15 so I got it! I absolutely love it
8. Pressed Flower Trinket Tray
I saw that Urban Outfitters had a new pressed flower range out and I just had to have a look at it. I really liked the mirror that they were selling but I just didn’t need one so instead I got this trinket tray. As beautiful as it looks in person I was so disappointed when it arrived! I ordered it online and it turned up broken. I tried to get it returned around 2 weeks ago now and I still haven’t heard a thing from them or even received a refund! To say this was £12 as well it was such bad quality, it was made from that sort of screen protector material (sort of a mix between glass and plastic) that shatters so easily. You would think for a huge retailer like them, they would have much better customer service skills.
9. Merino Wool Blanket
This was something else that I was disappointed with but this time I was fully to blame. I have wanted one of these blankets for ages and finally got one from EBay but didn’t read the item description. I ended up ordering a baby blanket instead of a proper blanket so it’s very small! I’m tempted to just use it for the dog so I didn’t waste my money! There was a bigger option as well which I realised after was the adult version. Gutted wasn’t the word. It was only £12 I guess.
(This is what I was meant to order :( )
10. Pressed Flower Phone Case
This was the item I had to wait for to come from China. I don’t mind waiting around for it as long as it states it’s coming from China. This is a stunning phone case and feels like good quality too. It is also a silicone one which I much prefer to the plastic ones. I only paid £4 for this on EBay and this is also the lucky last item which I am super happy with.
Overall, I am really happy with most of my purchases except the trinket tray and the blanket but hey ho it’s been made up with the amount of good things I got. I am also so happy with all the presents I received so Thankyou very much to those people and the rest of the family who put towards these purchases. I had a great birthday but that’s it now I’m getting old, I’m past 21!
