Spring/Summer ‘23 Fashion Favourites

Spring & Summer ‘23 is approaching, the nights are getting lighter, the weather is getting warmer and most importantly the fashion is getting brighter. Spring/Summer is when I start to bring more colour and prints into my wardrobe alongside my all time favourite basics. It’s one of my favourite seasons for fashion.

I have picked out some of my favourite bits from the high street and online which may end up making an appearance in my wardrobe this spring/summer. I have tried to  use pieces that can be brought out each year as well. I styled the pieces up into outfits just for a bit of inspiration using an app called ShopLook, however, many of these items can be switched up with other outfits.

My Fashion Faves

This green dress is absolutely gorgeous for both the spring and summer and can be worn in both seasons. It is sold at Matalan for just £26. You can buy it in other colours if you like and there is also a matching daughter version available if you are into that too.
This cropped trench coat will be a perfect spring/summer coat as it won’t be too warm but will still keep you warm enough on the colder days. The jacket is available from Zara for £60. I would also highly recommend these £20 black flares from New Look as they are the best quality flares I’ve ever owned.

This playsuit is stunning for holidays or special occasions and is available from Asos under the Asos Design brand for £48. These shoes are also 2 of my favourite pairs of heels which would go with the playsuit but also be a good summer staple shoe. The wedges are available from Pretty Little Thing for £38 and the heels are available from Primark for just £18!

Another beautiful summer dress I came across is this one from Pink Boutique for just £27. I have ordered from PB before, the sizing seems good and some of their items are hidden gems. If you’re also looking for the perfect pair of white sandals. These ones from Pretty Little Thing are only £20 and are real leather! They are available in black too.
Nike Pro shorts are always popular in the summer so it’s a good idea to have some spare in your wardrobe as they go with anything. You can buy them from Amazon for £30 or Sports Direct for £28. This hoodie jacket is also great for the summer with the colour and cropped length of it. It is currently sold on Asos by the brand Puma and can be bought for £31.50.
Gym wear can be a nice base for an outfit, that’s why I like to wear it all year round. I really liked the beige colour of this one from Shein. It is available in other colours, this one was Apricot and the whole set is only £20. Pretty Little Thing is the best place to find the perfect flannel shirt like this one. This one is available for £20.80. The last thing I want to mention is this New Era cap. This colour is gorgeous, you can buy it for £21 from Asos.

This hoodie is perfect for those days when it’s a bit colder but you still want to wear a bit of colour. This is a custom one from Etsy so it’s a bit more expensive at £44.18 but for that price you are getting a unique design hoodie. This colour is Carolina Blue but there were others available. If you need a decent pair of black leggings, look no further than these ones on Amazon. I can truly recommend these. They are the softest and stretchiest leggings I’ve tried and they are not see through. They are only £12 each.

Crop tops like this one are ideal for summer as you can just chuck them on. I love the colour and style of this one and it’s only £8 from H&M. If you are looking for a pair of black trousers, these linen ones are great for the summer and are £30 on Asos by Asos Design. Finally, these sandals are great for a staple pair over the summer. These ones are only £20 from Asos by Asos Design and in the colour Taupe however there are other colours available.
This red crop top is very cute for spring and summer. It’s very pretty in the front but also has a tie back detail which makes it even prettier. It is available from Asos by Miss Selfridge for £14. This denim skirt is also a perfect bright summer colour. Finally, these Doc Marten sandals are the perfect summer staple sandals which everyone needs. They are available on Asos for £79.

This top looks way more expensive that what it is. It looks like it should be sold somewhere like Urban Outfitters for at least £35 when you can actually get it for only £4.49 on Shein. It’s very cute for those with a more grunge style.
This top is gorgeous for those who love the Y2K aesthetic style! You can get these in a few different colours but you would more than likely have to look for them secondhand. This pink and blue one is available on Zalando for £30. I also love flared jeans in the spring/summer. These light coloured ones from Zara are a great summer colour and are only £33 a pair. Finally, as butterfly clips as coming back around, you can buy a big pack for £3 on Amazon.
With the colour royal blue coming back into fashion again, I found this very cute blue Alaska crop top from Shein that I really liked because it was different. It is available for only £5.49. I can also see these white Bershka parachute pants being popular this summer. These ones are sold on Asos for £36 but there is a cheaper option available at Primark in a few colours as well for just £12.
Another place to buy the best gym wear from is actually Amazon as these sets are usually cheap and good quality. This black one retails for just £25. I also came across this stunning grey blazer from Pretty Little Thing for just £26 which I love!
If you prefer a more basic hoodie, this white Pretty Little Thing one is a good option and it’s only £16.20, it will go with pretty much anything. Beige flares seem to be popular at the minute as well and they can look as nice as black ones. This pair is sold on Pretty Little Thing for just £13.60.. Finally, if you’re looking for a dupe of the famous Zara leather gilets, make sure to look at this one from Hollister as it’s much cheaper at just £28.
Scrolling through Pinterest, I seem to find a lot of these Adidas trousers. Depending on what colour you get, you may have to buy these secondhand which usually costs around the £30 mark. This grey tube top is also a cute little basic for the summer and it’s only £5.49 from Shein.
This dark grey gym set from Shein is another nice gym set to use as an outfit base, although it’s dark it’s nice for those colder days. This set is available for just £18.49 and is in the colour Dark Grey. An oversized denim jacket like this one is is a wardrobe staple in the summer for me, this black one retails for £36 at New Look.
This is a gym set which I actually own and it’s one of my favourite casual outfits to wear. I bought it from Amazon for just £27 and it’s in the colour Tea Leaf. As for the jacket, I also own this exact one but as I got it in the River Island £10 sale you can no longer get it so you would have to get a dupe version but it’s honestly the best jacket I own and I never take it off.
These basic ruched dresses from Shein are very cute for the summer, this one is in the colour Khaki but there are others available and they are only £10.49 each.
If you’re a fan of the Y2K aesthetic, you need to have a look at the website Cider! They say it’s quite similar to Shein which I agree but it’s mostly Pinterest clothes that you can never find anywhere else. I love this site and have ordered from them before. I saw this top on there and I’m just obsessed! I have no other words for it it’s only £6!!
Monochrome stripes are a huge trend at the moment with jumpers like this everywhere. I think it’s the perfect spring jumper that can pair up with anything and it’s £33 from Zara.

This fluffy cream cardigan is perfect for spring, especially with it’s cute little heart shaped buttons. You can buy it from Asos and it’s by the brand Fire & Glory, it’s available for just £21 in the sale. If you’re looking for a nice, bright pair of straight leg jeans. I would recommend looking in Primark. I own these ones and they go with everything.
This blazer is the perfect dupe for the viral Zara Man blazer which is going around at £80. This Pretty Little Thing one can be bought for just £34.20.

This is the prettiest spring jumper I’ve ever seen! The pastel colours are beautiful and will inject some colour into your wardrobe. It is available from Shein for just £20. I feel like it’s still cold enough to wear ultra mini Uggs on some days. I don’t know if the hype has gone down on these but you can get them for £135 from Ugg if you can get your size.
This lemon colour is my absolute fave in the spring and summer!. I saw this jumper on New Look and instantly felt like I needed it for spring, it is available for £32. I also came across these yellow Converse thanks to Helena Critchley and thought they were perfect for the spring/summer and would get a lot of wear out of them. They are currently on sale on the Asos website for £48. I also want to mention this little lemon bag I found on Shein. I’m obsessed and it’s only £8.25 which is amazing for a bag.
This cardigan may look too chunky for the spring and summer but it’s actually not. I bought mine last year from Missguided and because it’s hand knitted, it’s not as chunky but still keeps you warm. I’ve worn it in the spring before, you can buy it for £22.50 on Pretty Little Thing, I’m pretty sure it’s the same cardigan I have.
This Boohoo USA hoodie is something which I saw on Helena Critchley’s instagram also & just fell in love with it. This is a 2 piece set which will work both as a set or each piece styled up individually, you can buy it for £27.
These racer crop tops from Pretty Little Thing are great for the summer as they are cool and can be worn with anything, this black one retails for just £8. These jeans are also really nice for a more fur grungey vibe outfit in the summer, I love grey jeans like these, these are available on Asos by the brand Yours for £30. You may only be able to get plus sizes in these with the brand so if you need something smaller like me, either check it or look at George clothing as they have a similar pair in their Skye style jeans that are cheaper.
Another basic dress I came across online was this one from Asos Design. I really like the style of this dress and it’s only £14 from Asos. I think that a white shirt is also a staple for your wardrobe in summer and Primark are currently selling one for £14 which is the cheapest I’ve seen.
I like this Amazon gym set because it will inject a bit of colour into your outfit. This one sells for just £25 and comes in the colour Light Green. If you like trench coats but don’t want to pay a ridiculous amount of money for them, have a look at this one on Amazon for just £27. You can’t go wrong for that price.
Another bright gym set which will be even better in the summer is this lilac one also from Amazon. This one is only £23 so cheaper than the one above. I also saw this lilac and white baggy t shirt which I thought would look good with it on Shein, this t shirt is only £8.49.

If you prefer sweatshirts over hoodies, this acid wash one from Pretty Little Thing is cute. You can either buy it in this grey colour or there is a nice turquoise colour one. They retail for £25 each.
Instead of a sports bra and legging gym set, these sports bra and short sets from Amazon are great for summer. This black one is sold for just £23. Another flannel shirt option I like from Pretty Little Thing is this blue one. You can buy it for £25.

This crop top from Shein is a bit more boujee and I like it. It’s only £6 as well! Since cargos are a popular trend at the minute, I don’t think you can go wrong with a pair of black ones as they go with anything. These ones from Pretty Little Thing are available for £30.
Another top which will go well with black cargos and is stunning is this one from Cider, this top is available for just £13 and it looks way more expensive.
This Zara top is perfect for going out in or on a date in. It’s very pretty and girly and only £30. As much as I like a blue denim skirt for spring/summer, I like a black one too. This one is from Asos and by the brand Levi’s, you can buy it for £60. As for the boots, I have the New Look version of these and they go with almost anything and these Schuh boots are a great dupe for those ones.

I do love a midi dress in the spring/summer. I thought this Shein one was very pretty and you won’t need to wear a jacket with it as it’s long sleeved. You can buy it for just £18.49.
This Monki slip dress is perfect for the summer and to wear on holiday also because of its beautiful colours, you can buy it for just £30. Even though I do like a nice white shirt, this beach one from Asos is nice to wear day to day, it is a shirt by Asos Design and sells for just £18.50.
If you are lucky enough to be able to afford a Zimmermann playsuit or be able to afford a secondhand one. They are such gorgeous playsuits for spring/summer and special occasions. However if you can’t, Asos have some really good dupe versions which are a lot cheaper! I feel like gladiator sandals are also coming back in this year and I really liked these nude ones from Zara however they are £60 but they will last you a lot of years.
This top is a nice one to go out in for summer nights out. It is available from Pretty Little Thing for £25. Having a pair of mid blue skinny jeans in your wardrobe is handy for if you don’t want to wear a lighter pair, these Asos Design ones are only £23.50 from Asos. I also want to mention both the bag and heels from Shein I’m obsessed with the colours and styles. The heels will be comfy & the bag is very pretty. The heels retail for £16 and the bag is only £4.25!! What an absolute bargain.
Looking at this outfit, I don’t know if it goes together anymore, I tried to recreate a similar outfit on Pinterest which looked gorgeous!. This is a great basic slogan t shirt for the summer which can be styled up in many ways. It is sold on Boohoo for just £9! This Miss Selfridge skirt is also absolutely gorgeous for spring and summer. I love the patchwork style print on it. You can buy this skirt from Asos for £24.
This corset top is gorgeous for going out in or on a date night, it is available from Shein for just £16.
Of course I had to use my favourite lemon colour again, however I have found a nicer and cheaper  blazer than this one on Asos by the brand Vila for £45. Finally, I fell in love with these lemon heels when I saw them on Shein They are absolutely gorgeous for only £17!
I thought this pink jumper was perfect for the spring. It will still keep you warm but not too warm where you can’t wear it. You can buy it for £25 from DLSB.
Another DLSB favourite is this beautiful ‘garden party’ dress!  DLSB have some of the nicest dresses that you can’t get from anywhere else. I thought this was perfect for the summer and holidays. You can buy it for £43.
These frilly t shirts from New Look are great basics to have in your wardrobe that have a little something to them. They come in so many different colours and are only £8 each. Dresses over t shirts also look cute in the summer and these 2 were my favourite. First of all is the gingham one by Pull & Bear which is sold on Asos for £18.19 and the second one is a basic black strappy dress from Boohoo which retails for just £6.40.
George at Asda always have nice midi dress designs around this time of year and it’s not somewhere you’d expect to find them. This blue one was a style which they had last year that I got that is currently in the sale for £3 and the green one is this years stock which is selling for £20. I would say it’s definitely worth looking there if you are after a nice midi dress.
This blazer was Pretty Little Thing stock last year so they may have some left in the sale, if not you may have to get it secondhand, I believe it’s part of Molly Mae’s collection. For some people, this blazer could be long enough to wear as a dress which is good, hence why I also added some cycle shorts. These ones are from Primark at just £3 are the best quality cycle shorts I’ve ever owned and I wouldn’t expect that with them being the cheapest. They seem to be the thickest ones I’ve found.
I am sure we’ve all seen this green tracksuit going around. It seems very popular where I live anyway. I finally found where it’s from even though it’s not really tracksuit season, you could wear it on colder days. You can buy the whole set from New Look for £38 all together.
If you like boho styles, this gorgeous dress is from Zara. I think this is absolutely stunning. You can buy it for £46. I also love the look of floppy hats with dresses so I had to add in this Pretty Little Thing one for just £7 if you are one of the lucky people who suits them.
What is a high street fashion picks post without something from my favourite influencer’s In The Style collaboration. For anyone who hasn’t heard of Carys Whittaker, she is a YouTuber who just seems so real and seems absolutely lovely! I absolutely fell in love with this jumper which she posted on her Instagram, it’s so pretty and girly, you can buy it from In The Style for £30. I’ve also been looking for one of these girly floral skirts and came across this one from Asos by Miss Selfridge. It has some very pretty colours running through it and it’s only £9!

You can always try to purchase them secondhand for cheaper though. These Slazenger tennis skirts are also great for the summer months and are cute if you like your vintage styles, they are only £11 each from Sports Direct, there are many colours available.
This New Look Nirvana t shirt is the nicest band tee I’ve seen, the colours running through it are gorgeous, it is available from New Look for £20. If you’re like me and want some denim shorts but don’t like most pairs. Try Fashion Nova. I have tried their jeans before and they are very stretchy so this year I think I’m going to try their denim shorts. They are so cheap as well, this pair are only £13.

You can buy it for £110 from Guess or you could try to find it secondhand somewhere.
This dress is another colour way available in the Shein dress I mentioned earlier for £10.49. I think this one is a gorgeous colour and the best one, this colour way is Chocolate Brown. A leather blazer may be a little bit warm for spring and summer but if you have any colder days, then you could wear this as a jacket instead. This one is available from Pretty Little Thing for £48.

This outfit looks as if it doesn’t go together but I’ve taken this from the Pinterest outfit underneath and hoping it looks better on together. Instead of using the shorts on this picture, you could just use the shorts from the Shein co ord I mentioned earlier.

This Shein broderie crop top is the perfect little top for spring and summer as it’s cute and girly and broderie of course which is popular throughout the spring and summer months. You can buy it for just £5.49. As for the skirt, I bought this last week and it’s so so cute!! You cannot go wrong for £26 at New Look.
